Job Description
How you will make your impact The Design Consultant is responsible for driving the entire sales process while actively growing their own pipeline of qualified opportunities. Beyond responding to company Garage Living generated leads, the Design Consultant is expected to build relationships within their local market, cultivate referral partners, network within the community, and proactively identify new business opportunities. From the initial consultation through project completion, the Design Consultant delivers a premium customer client experience that reflects the Garage Living brand. Essential Functions 1.
Business Development and Lead Generation:
Actively build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities through relationship building, networking, community involvement, and personal prospecting. Along with Garage Living generated leads, Design Consultants are expected to supplement these through proactive business development initiatives including:- Building relationships with real estate professionals, builders, interior designers, architects and complementary home service businesses.
- Developing referral partnerships.
- Attending networking events and community functions.
- Participating in home shows, car shows, local events and showroom events.
- Prospecting within existing client neighborhoods.
- Generating referrals from satisfied customers.
- Hosting educational events and leveraging social media to expand personal visibility.
- Consistently identifying opportunities to grow market presence.
Consultation:
Perform professional in-garage consultations by understanding each client's lifestyle, goals and vision for their garage. Educate clients on Garage Living's premium solutions while creating confidence in the investment through a consultative sales approach. 3.Proposal/Presentation:
Prepare customized design concepts and proposals that align with the client's needs while demonstrating the value of Garage Living's premium products, craftsmanship and white-glove service. 4.Sales and Closing:
Confidently guide clients through the purchasing decision by overcoming objections, reinforcing value and closing sales. Maintain disciplined follow-up to maximize conversion rates from both Garage Living generated and self-generated opportunities. 5.Project Coordination:
Ensure accurate order preparation, project documentation and seamless communication with the operations team to support successful installations. 6.Client Experience:
Deliver an exceptional customer experience before, during and after installation by proactively communicating with clients, managing expectations and ensuring complete client satisfaction. 7.Relationship Management:
Develop long-term relationships with existing clients, referral partners and local influencers to generate repeat business and referrals. Maintain regular contact with key partners and customers to ensure Garage Living remains the preferred choice for future projects.Experience / Qualifications

- Valid driver's license and must have own vehicle.
- Has a minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the retail/wholesale industry, preferably home products and services.
- Must have intimate knowledge of residential/commercial construction practices, terminology, and requirements.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Must be a team player within the company as well as the ability to manage his or her own work independently.
- Must be comfortable working with discerning clients.
- Must be passionate about the garage, vehicles, homes and lifestyle. A successful Design Consultant is expected to:
- Consistently generate new business opportunities through networking and relationship building.
- Maintain an active pipeline of self-generated and company-generated opportunities.
- Build strong referral partnerships within the local market.
- Deliver an exceptional client experience that results in repeat business and referrals.
- Achieve or exceed monthly sales and conversion goals.
