From orders to invoices to the daily issues that arise within the department, this position will interface with customers regularly, and act as the liaison between the customer and the company. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITIES
Contacts current and potential customers by phone to grow prospects and sales. Drives product sales by developing, identifying, and securing all relevant direct sales opportunities. Actively solicits product opportunities, referring leads as appropriate. Field incoming calls from customers and provide sales orders as needed. Provides product, service, or technical information by answering questions and requests. Assist in the management of open orders by using reports to track all open jobs, backorders, past due orders, and actively source solutions to fulfill orders on time. Actively solicits product opportunities, referring leads as appropriate. Communicate with appropriate persons of jobs that will miss promised due dates and participate in the expediting of whatever is necessary to meet the required promise dates. Drive product sales by developing, identifying, and securing all relevant direct sales opportunities. Track and follow up on quotes for customers. Enter and process sales orders as needed, which includes fulfilling backordered parts by assisting purchasing and communicating with production as needed. Assist inventory control and purchasing personnel in resource planning for all parts which includes providing accurate costing, forecasting, and specification of parts. Enhance professional growth and development as technology advances. Perform related duties as assigned by Supervisor. Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures. Qualifications
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent. Three (3) years in related job experience. Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in manufacturing and operations. Prior experience working with laser cladding and chrome plating (or other type of electroplating) preferred. Ability to effectively plan workload and analyze market conditions. Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff. Performs work under minimal supervision. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow directions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job duties consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Frequent walking and/or standing is required. Frequent bending, pushing/pulling, lifting/carrying of parts. Ability to work safely and adhere to the Swanson Safety System in daily job duties.
