Freight Broker (Piscataway, NJ) - 2+ years experience (quoting to invoicing)

We are seeking a mid-level Freight Broker with 2+ years of hands-on, cradle-to-grave freight brokerage experience managing freight independently from quote through delivery . This role requires full ownership of customer freight, including carrier sourcing, rate negotiation, load management, and customer communication . Key Responsibilities Manage freight brokerage operations from quote through delivery Source, vet, and negotiate rates with qualified carriers Coordinate pickups, deliveries, backhauls, and route efficiency Track shipments and proactively communicate status updates Resolve service failures, delays, and freight discrepancies Maintain accurate freight documentation and billing records Identify new business opportunities and support sales growth Stay informed on freight market trends and capacity changes Required Experience & Qualifications 2+ years of freight brokerage experience managing loads independently Proven cradle-to-grave freight broker experience Experience negotiating rates with carriers and customers Familiarity with TMS platforms and logistics software Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree (preferred, not required) Experience managing multiple freight modes (Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, LTL) Strong customer relationship management experience
