Job Description
We are seeking a professional, organized, and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to join our Masonry & Building Products Supply team. This role is the first point of contact for our customers and is crucial for providing exceptional service, processing orders accurately, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the yard. The ideal candidate has experience in building materials or construction supply sales, strong communication skills, able to multitask and a practical understanding of masonry products.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide product knowledge and recommendations on masonry supplies, concrete products, hardscaping, tools, and materials. Assist customers with order placement. Accurately process sales transactions, invoices, and quotes using the POS system. Logistics. Manage small fleet of vehicles to deliver construction materials and services. Delivery scheduling and pick up products for inventory. Inventory Management. Strategic reordering of inventory. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pricing, promotions, pricing, and industry trends. Negotiate pricing on behalf of company. Performing stock checks and assisting with receiving deliveries. Keep the counter and surrounding areas stocked, clean, organized. Collaborate with yard staff to ensure customer orders are prepared correctly for pickup or delivery. Handle customer complaints or issues professionally, escalating to management as needed.Qualifications:
Previous experience in construction , building materials, masonry supply, hardscaping, or building products sales preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills. Basic computer literacy; familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment. Ability to lift moderate weight (up to 50 lbs) and operate yard equipment if needed. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Working Conditions:
Work is primarily in an indoor environment. Monday- Friday 6:00
- 5:00, Saturday 6:00
- 12:00 (Peak Season) Hours decrease minimally during winter.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage / salary, based on experience. Benefits package (if applicable).Pay:
$24.00- $30.
