Job Description

HVA manufactures high-performance vacuum valves and related equipment used in demanding industries including semiconductor, aerospace, research, and industrial vacuum applications. We manufacture the majority of our products in-house and are known for solving difficult technical challenges with quality and responsiveness. We are looking for a technically minded individual to join our sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their sales career who has strong mechanical aptitude and enjoys learning technical products and systems. Position Overview This role focuses on supporting customers with technical quotations, product selection, order management, and project coordination. Previous valve or vacuum industry experience is not required — we can train the right person on our products and applications. What matters most is strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly learn product structures, part numbers, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys understanding how mechanical systems work and is comfortable working with both customers and internal engineering/manufacturing teams. Responsibilities
  • Prepare customer quotations and assist with technical sales inquiries
  • Learn HVA product lines, configurations, and part numbering systems
  • Review customer specifications, drawings, and BOMs
  • Assist in R&D projects and documentation
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, and purchasing teams
  • Support customers with product selection and order follow-up
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Maintain accurate records in ERP/CRM systems
  • Build long-term customer relationships through responsiveness and technical support Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical or technical aptitude
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to learn complex products and part numbering systems quickly
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient with computers and standard business software Major Plus Experience
  • Hands-on mechanical experience
  • Manufacturing, machining, automotive, fabrication, or industrial equipment background
  • Experience reading drawings or working with BOMs and part numbers
  • Technical customer service or inside sales experience
