Job:
The Sales Associate is responsible for selling and leasing new and pre-owned vehicles while maintaining dealership gross profit, achieving volume targets, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Detailed Responsibilities:
Meet and exceed the transportation needs of vehicle purchasers. Promptly greet and assist every customer who enters the showroom or sales lot following initial introduction by the greeter. Engage customers by asking questions and actively listening to their needs to recommend appropriate vehicles. Thoroughly explain product performance, features, benefits, and available options. Demonstrate vehicles and accompany prospects on test drives. Follow dealership procedures, including obtaining customer identification and proper test drive documentation. Utilize the dealership's sales control and follow-up system daily. Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and building long-term relationships. Remain knowledgeable and compliant with all federal, state, and local laws governing automotive sales. Establish personal sales and income goals aligned with dealership expectations and actively work toward achieving them. Attend required product knowledge and sales training sessions. Stay current on all new vehicles, features, accessories, and technological advancements. Submit 100% of closed deals to the Finance and Insurance Manager with complete and accurate paperwork. Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery, ensuring all features and warranties are explained clearly. Introduce customers to the dealership's service and parts departments to promote future business. Follow up on post-delivery items, such as title/tag work and "We Owe" items, ensuring customer expectations are met. Maintain a customer follow-up system that drives repeat and referral business. Develop and manage a prospect database to support sales activities. Review sales activities daily, weekly, monthly, and annually to improve time management and sales strategies. Attend scheduled sales meetings and training events. Maintain a neat, professional appearance at all times. Support lot maintenance activities when needed, such as moving cars and clearing snow from vehicles. Perform any additional tasks assigned to meet dealership objectives.
