You'll diagnose the customer's electrical problem, identify the right solution, explain it clearly, present the price, earn the customer's business, and then perform the repair or installation. What You Can Earn $30-$45 per hour , based on experience, qualifications, and ability. PLUS 5% sales commission. If you're technically strong, good with homeowners, and capable of selling quality electrical solutions, this position gives you the opportunity to increase your earnings through your sales performance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You'll own the customer experience from the time you arrive until the job is complete.

Your responsibilities will include:

Diagnose residential electrical problems. Identify repair and installation opportunities. Explain electrical problems and recommended solutions clearly to homeowners. Present options and pricing professionally. Discuss money comfortably and confidently. Ask for the customer's business. Obtain approval before performing additional work. Complete approved electrical repairs and installations. Follow applicable electrical codes, safety procedures, and company standards. Test completed work and ensure everything operates correctly. Protect the customer's home and leave the work area clean. Document jobs, materials, approvals, and required photos in our CRM. Communicate effectively with the office throughout the job. You'll work on a variety of residential electrical systems, including troubleshooting, panels, breakers, outlets, switches, lighting, GFCI/AFCI, dedicated circuits, wiring repairs, service upgrades, EV chargers, generators, and other residential electrical installations.

SALES IS PART OF THE JOB

This is not a traditional electrician position where you simply arrive and complete whatever work is already written on the ticket. You are responsible for identifying the customer's needs and creating the opportunity to solve them.

Our sales approach is:

Diagnose → Educate → Recommend → Present Options → Present Price → Ask for the Sale → Perform Quality Work This is not a high-pressure sales position . We want technicians who can educate homeowners, make honest recommendations, explain the value of the work, confidently discuss pricing, and ask for the opportunity to earn the customer's business. You'll receive company sales training , and participation in that training is required.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for someone who is: Technically Strong You can troubleshoot residential electrical systems and determine the actual cause of a problem. Good With People You can explain electrical issues in a way homeowners understand and build trust with customers. Comfortable With Sales You're comfortable recommending solutions, presenting options, discussing pricing, and asking for the sale. Self-Motivated You can manage yourself in the field and take ownership of the customer experience. Professional You understand that your communication, appearance, attitude, and workmanship represent R&D Electrical. Coachable You're willing to learn our processes, participate in company sales training, and continually improve your technical and sales skills.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Residential electrical experience. Strong residential troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently. Strong understanding of residential electrical systems. Confidence communicating with homeowners. Comfort discussing pricing and money. Ability to safely perform residential electrical work. Experience using electrical meters and diagnostic equipment. Comfort using a tablet and learning CRM software. Valid driver's license. Dependable attendance and punctuality.

The following are a plus:

Residential service experience. Previous electrical sales experience. Electrical license or applicable credentials. Generator experience. EV charger experience. Service upgrade experience. Previous field-service CRM experience.

TECHNOLOGY & CRM

Every technician will use a company-provided tablet and CRM as part of their daily responsibilities. You will be expected to use the CRM to: Review customer and job information. Document diagnosis and work performed. Record customer approvals. Upload required photos. Document materials. Update job status. Communicate important information with the office. You don't need to know our specific CRM before joining us. You do need to be comfortable learning and using technology.
