Full-Time About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Business Development Representative to grow and develop a territory throughout Long Island and the surrounding New York market. This is not an entry-level sales position . We are looking for an established B2B sales professional who knows how to build a territory, identify the right opportunities, navigate organizations, reach key decision-makers, and develop relationships that turn into long-term referral partnerships. Property restoration industry experience is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate understands relationship-based selling and knows how to strategically develop referral sources within a defined territory. What You'll Do Own and actively develop an assigned sales territory Build and manage an efficient territory route with consistent face-to-face activity Identify high-value target accounts and the key decision-makers and influencers within them Prospect and develop new B2B relationships from the ground up Build relationships with property managers, insurance professionals, commercial contacts, and other strategic referral partners Navigate organizations with multiple stakeholders and establish relationships at the appropriate decision-making level Develop strategies for gaining access to difficult-to-reach prospects and accounts Conduct regular in-person visits, meetings, networking, and business development activities throughout the territory Maintain disciplined, consistent follow-up with prospects and referral partners Follow a defined sales process and meet established activity and performance expectations Consistently utilize the company's CRM to document activity, manage follow-up, track opportunities, and maintain an accurate pipeline Develop and execute a strategic territory plan based on target accounts, opportunity, and relationship development Track activity and results and maintain accountability to established KPIs What We're Looking For Proven B2B sales or business development experience is required Restoration industry sales experience is strongly preferred Demonstrated success developing and managing a defined sales territory Experience identifying, reaching, and developing relationships with key decision-makers Strong prospecting and new-business development skills Ability to strategically navigate an account rather than simply make sales calls Experience building an effective territory route and managing consistent field activity Comfortable with cold outreach, face-to-face prospecting, and opening new accounts Strong understanding of relationship-based selling and long-term account development Experience working within a structured sales process Strong CRM discipline is required Highly organized with consistent follow-up and pipeline management Resilient, persistent, and comfortable with rejection Self-motivated and capable of independently managing a territory Comfortable being held accountable to sales activity, KPIs, and results Compensation & Benefits This position offers a competitive compensation package designed to reward both experience and performance: $80,000-$110,000 base salary , depending on experience Commission structure Annual performance bonus Car allowance 401(k) with company match The Right Fit The right person for this role already knows how to work a B2B territory . You know how to research an account, determine who actually influences buying and referral decisions, gain access to those individuals, build credibility, and stay in front of them consistently. You are strategic about your time in the field. You know how to build an efficient route, prioritize high-value accounts, manage multiple relationships and opportunities, and use a CRM to ensure follow-up doesn't fall through the cracks. Most importantly, you are a hunter and relationship builder . You are comfortable creating new relationships from the ground up, hearing "no," continuing to prospect, and earning business over time.
