About the Position CCNY Tech is looking for an organized, dependable person to help manage inventory and maximize the resale value of computers, servers, networking equipment, and other technology moving through our facility. This position combines inventory control, warehouse operations, and online resale. This is a hands on role for someone who pays attention to details, is comfortable using computers, and takes ownership of keeping inventory accurate and moving. What You Will Do Receive equipment into inventory and verify quantities, models, serial numbers, condition, and location. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Pull and stage equipment for customer orders. Monitor sales orders and help keep equipment moving through testing, staging, and shipping. Identify incoming equipment that has resale value. Research equipment values and help establish competitive resale pricing. Review slow moving and aging inventory and recommend whether it should be sold, discounted, listed online, or recycled. Create and maintain eBay listings, including descriptions, specifications, photographs, and pricing. Process eBay sales and coordinate order fulfillment. Assist with eBay customer questions, returns, and other issues. Work with purchasing and sales to maintain accurate product and cost information. Assist with receiving, shipping, and packaging as needed. Follow CCNY Tech data security, environmental, safety, and R2 procedures. Help maintain a clean and organized inventory and warehouse area. What We Are Looking For Strong organization and attention to detail. Comfortable working with computers and business software. Basic knowledge of computer hardware or a willingness to learn. Experience with inventory, warehouse operations, ecommerce, or online marketplaces is helpful. eBay experience is a strong plus. Microsoft Excel experience. Ability to research products and compare market pricing. Ability to work independently, follow established procedures, and take ownership of assigned responsibilities. Forklift or pallet jack experience is preferred. Ability to safely lift and move IT equipment. High school diploma or equivalent. Compensation and Benefits $21 to $23 per hour, based on experience. 37.5 hour work week. After 90 days, eligibility for health insurance with CCNY Tech contributing $425 per month toward premiums. After 90 days, eligibility to participate in the 401(k) plan, including an employer match subject to the plan terms and vesting schedule. After 90 days, paid holidays plus 37.5 hours of sick time, 15 hours of personal time, and 15 hours of vacation time. After 180 days, an additional 22.5 hours of vacation time. 75 hours of vacation pay on each annual anniversary through the first six years of employment. At six years of employment, annual vacation increases to 112.5 hours. After 90 days, eligibility to participate in long term and short term disability insurance.
