This is a hands-on field sales role. You will personally identify, approach and develop relationships with employers, residential communities, schools, fitness and wellness organizations, professional offices, community organizations and other potential local partners located near our practices. We are looking for someone who is polished, highly confident in person, commercially minded and comfortable creating relationships from scratch. This is not an entry-level marketing position, event ambassador role, social-media role or desk-based marketing coordinator position. What You Will Do Spend the majority of your working time in the field developing relationships with prospective business and community partners. Personally approach organizations, identify the appropriate decision maker and create an initial conversation. Develop relationships with HR leaders, business owners, office managers, property managers and other local decision makers. Introduce nearby healthcare practices and identify mutually beneficial opportunities for employee programs, resident outreach, community partnerships, events and other local initiatives. Conduct cold outreach by phone, email and in person. Follow up persistently with promising opportunities until there is a clear next step or a clear reason to move on. Manage an assigned geographic territory and prioritize the highest-value opportunities. Coordinate with our centralized marketing and operations teams on prospect lists, outreach materials, campaigns and follow-up. Maintain accurate records of contacts, visits, conversations, opportunities and next steps. Provide direct feedback on which organizations, approaches and partnership types are producing results. Required Experience Candidates should have at least 2 years of professional experience in one or more of the following: Outside B2B sales Healthcare business development Pharmaceutical or medical sales Physician liaison or healthcare referral development Professional services business development Territory sales Relationship-based account development You must have personally been responsible for developing new accounts, partnerships, referral relationships or customers. Experience limited primarily to retail, restaurant, hospitality service, customer service, event staffing, promotional brand ambassador work or administrative marketing support does not by itself meet the experience requirement for this position. Who Will Be Successful You are comfortable walking into an organization where you do not know anyone and starting a professional conversation. You build rapport quickly and communicate comfortably with executives, business owners, managers and frontline staff. You have strong professional presence and represent an organization exceptionally well in person. You are persistent and comfortable following up repeatedly when an opportunity is worth pursuing. You do not interpret an unanswered email or voicemail as the end of an opportunity. You are comfortable hearing no and continuing to develop other opportunities without losing momentum. You are commercially oriented and naturally think about how activity turns into measurable business results. You manage yourself well and do not require close daily supervision. You are organized enough to manage a territory, prioritize opportunities and follow through consistently. You are comfortable being measured on results rather than simply activity. This Role Is Probably Not For You If You are looking for an entry-level marketing opportunity. You primarily want to work remotely or from a desk. You prefer coordinating other people's outreach rather than personally developing relationships. You are uncomfortable initiating conversations with people you do not know. You tend to stop after one unanswered email or phone call. You need a highly structured daily schedule or frequent supervision. Your experience is primarily social media, content creation, event staffing or marketing administration rather than direct business development or sales. Schedule Approximately 15-20 hours per week initially. Most activity will occur during normal weekday business hours when prospective organizations and decision makers are available. This is a field-based role. Travel throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and other assigned New York City territories will be required. Compensation $35
