Job Description The Position:
This role is essential to keeping the sales engine running smoothly by owning critical order, data, documentation, and customer-communication workflows across a global, technical organization. The ideal candidate enjoys bringing order to complexity. You will work across Sales, Planning, Production, Finance, Logistics, Customer Support, Legal, Compliance, Quality, and IT to ensure customer orders and related processes are accurate, complete, compliant, and moving forward. Day:
Own accurate and timely order administration from purchase order intake through ERP entry, confirmation, invoicing support, shipment coordination, and post-shipment follow-up. Coordinate order dates and changes with Planning and Operations, communicate customer-impacting updates, and maintain traceable records in the appropriate systems. Provide clear, accurate, and professional communication to customers and internal stakeholders regarding order status, documentation, shipment timing, invoice questions, and next steps. Maintain accurate customer and operational data in Salesforce, SAP, and approved supporting tools. Coordinate onboarding, compliance, export, shipping, and documentation requirements with the appropriate internal experts. Support global and intercompany process alignment by sharing requirements, documenting differences, and helping standardize repeatable workflows. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve SOPs, work instructions, templates, checklists, onboarding materials, and process maps for Sales Operations workflows. Contribute to relevant metrics and reporting for turnaround time, accuracy, backlog, order exceptions, data quality, process adherence, and customer-impacting issues. Participate in team training, cross-functional reviews, and continuous-learning activities that deepen product, process, system, and communication knowledge. Job Requirements Associate degree in business, supply chain, operations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 1-3 years of experience in sales operations, order management, customer operations, sales support, supply chain coordination, or a comparable role. Experience with ERP and CRM systems; Salesforce and SAP experience is preferred. Exceptional attention to detail, organization, communication, and follow-through. The judgment to resolve standard issues independently and escalate exceptions with useful context. A collaborative, customer-focused, and improvement-oriented approach to work. But what else?
