Job Description

  • Introduction
  • The IBM Quantum Sales Operations Intern will support the IBM Quantum Sales organization in advancing business opportunities, executing sales processes, analyzing sales data, and coordinating cross-functional activities that help move opportunities from initiation through execution.
This role provides hands on exposure to the rapidly evolving field of quantum computing while developing practical experience in enterprise sales, sales operations, data analytics, deal execution, and business process management. The intern will work closely with IBM Quantum sellers and cross functional teams to help drive operational efficiency, improve the sales experience, and support the growth of IBM Quantum's client ecosystem.
  • Your role and responsibilities
  • Support the IBM Quantum Sales team in managing and progressing business opportunities throughout the sales cycle.
  • Assist with opportunity tracking, sales activities, deal status, and required follow up actions.
  • Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, and sales data across relevant sales systems and tools.
  • Help maintain sales reports, metrics, and dashboards.
  • Research customers, industries, and business opportunities to provide insights that support sales activities and client engagements.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations for internal and client facing meetings.
  • Collaborate with teams across IBM such as Finance, Contracts, Legal, Tax, IBM Client teams, as well as the IBM Quantum team members to help move opportunities from initiation through execution.
  • Assist with client and seller follow up activities and help ensure action items are tracked to completion.

  • Ability to communicate and translate deeply technical topics into business / layman's terms.

  • Negotiation skills.
  • Sales and / or presentation skills a big plus.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills including the ability to develop narratives and graphical representations of key ideas.
  • Data management skills and capabilities (excel, Monday, Power BI, Salesforce are a plus)
  • Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Educational background in STEM fields (major or minor).
  • Educational background in Business, Computer Science or Data Management.
