WomenSafe Inc., the Green House is in its 46th year of service. The agency's mission is to provide emergency shelter and support services to survivors of domestic violence throughout Northeast Ohio, primarily Lake, Geauga, Cuyahoga and Ashtabula counties. The Resale Shoppe Coordinator will work with the Resale Shoppe Manager to manage and implement all activities related to the operation of the WomenSafe Resale Shoppe on the scheduled days of work. These activities include and may not be limited to: scheduling and supervising store volunteers, accepting/sorting/storing donations, maintaining a clean, attractive and customer-friendly store atmosphere, pricing and/or supervising the pricing of all merchandise and establishing weekly sales of items, all towards the goal of generating profit to support agency programs and services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in maintenance/growth/training of volunteers to work in store. Provide oversight of store volunteers re: scheduling/sorting/displaying merchandise. Responsible for coordination of donation drop-offs to store. Responsible for store donation storage/store shelve replenishment. Communicate regularly with Donations Coordinator to assure resident needs are first priority. Arrange for transport of store goods to donations center as needed. Maintain positive community relations with customers, donors, volunteers, fellow staff members, and community stakeholders. Assist in coordinating and overseeing weekly sales on specified items. Monitor daily/weekly sales and suggest changes as necessary (re: hours of operation, promotions, etc.) to optimize profit. Responsible for overall appearance of store. Maintain a clean and organized shop. Assist in ensuring that store will be open and adequately staffed during scheduled hours of operation. Complete all assigned training accurately and within designated timeframes. Attend all mandatory meetings as scheduled. Submit required paperwork promptly and according to deadlines. Address customer issues and complaints. Lead by example of good customer service in regard to customers, donors, and volunteers. Present in a professional manner at all times. Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with volunteers and the public. A high level of mindfulness and attention to detail. Ability to multi-task. Ability to lift a maximum of 30 pounds independently. Ability to work independently. Ability to work as part of a team cooperatively and with diverse staff and volunteers. Exceptional planning/interpersonal/organizational skills. Ability to multi-task with a minimum level of supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working in a retail environment, in customer service, and with store layouts. An understanding of domestic violence and related issues. Word processing experience. Flexibility with regard to work hours.

Pay:

$17.00 per hour
