Senior Sales Manager, R-S Matco LLC About the company : R-S Matco is an international distributor of tube, pipe, fittings, and fabricated parts that has been in business for more than 30 years. As part of the Buhlmann Group, we have an extensive network of warehouses and suppliers all around the world. The primary industries we serve are power, petrochemical, pulp and paper, as well as package boilers.
We have two warehouses:
Oakboro, NC and Spanish Fork, UT, along with a sales office in Hudson, OH.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, lead generation, market research, and high-volume cold calling.
  • Identify, qualify, and engage prospective customers by reaching key decision-makers and assessing their business needs, projects, and purchasing requirements.
  • Build and maintain targeted prospect lists using lead generation tools and industry research to support ongoing business development efforts.
  • Conduct outbound sales activities, including cold calls, emails, and follow-up campaigns, to generate qualified leads and schedule opportunities for the sales team to prepare quotations and close new business.
  • Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects by executing structured follow-up strategies and accurately documenting all customer interactions.
  • Develop and foster relationships with distributors, manufacturers, fabricators, and other industry partners throughout North America and Europe to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Provide initial sales and project support by gathering customer requirements, qualifying opportunities, and ensuring all information is accurately communicated to the sales team for quoting and project execution.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure a seamless transition from lead generation through quoting, order processing, and customer fulfillment.
  • Meet or exceed daily outbound activity goals, lead generation targets, and key performance metrics while contributing to overall sales growth and customer acquisition.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the energy industry or a related sector.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and maintain long-term customer relationships while applying effective account management skills.
  • Excellent self-motivation, time management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with domestic and international teams.
  • Results-oriented with a proactive approach, high energy, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and logical skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and develop value-driven business solutions.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
