Job Description

  • Conducts quantity takeoffs for all salespeople and reviews project plans/specifications to gain a complete understanding of the projects scope.
  • Proficiently reads and interprets blueprints and technical documents in order to prepare estimates.
  • Research new products to provide customers with needed materials.
  • Promotes construction best practices and product innovation.
  • Communicate with various suppliers to determine product pricing and availability.
  • Work with respective Sales Representative to assess customer needs and required timelines.
  • Prepares material list and ensures project is competitively priced within the market and maintains targeted company margins.
  • Thoroughly reviews all documents and clearly identifies any omissions, discrepancies or overlaps in project scope of project before submission.
  • Work with Outside Sale Rep. to review final estimate to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assembles the proposal documents.
  • Maintain knowledge of basic and complex building methods and applies them to blueprints.
  • Orients new employees to the basic skills needed to successfully accomplish take-offs and customer Service
  • Assists in building and maintaining relationships with customers and vendors by providing superior customer service.
  • Acts as a point-person by supplying advice and information on products, estimates and delivery scheduling.
  • Assists with the training and orientation of new team members. While maintenance of positive relations with co-workers, customers, vendors, etc.
