High-Ticket Sales Representative CNC & Industrial Equipment
Job Description
High-Ticket Sales Representative - CNC & Industrial Equipment Arclight Dynamics | Bend, Oregon Full-Time | In Person $54,000-$150,000+ per Year Base Salary + Uncapped Commission Sell Machines. Build Relationships. Close Deals. Get Paid for Performance. If you're a salesperson who loves the chase, knows how to build trust, and gets satisfaction from turning an opportunity into a closed deal, we want to talk to you. Arclight Dynamics is hiring a High-Ticket Sales Representative to sell CNC and industrial cutting equipment to businesses across the country. This isn't a role where you'll spend all day dialing random numbers hoping someone picks up. Our website, marketing, dealer network, referrals, trade shows, and existing customer base generate a steady flow of warm inbound leads and active equipment buyers.
Your job is straightforward:
Own the opportunity. Understand the customer. Recommend the right solution. Follow up. Close the deal. Our CNC cutting systems are significant capital-equipment investments, often ranging from $20,000 to $100,000+ . Customers need more than someone who can email them a quote. They need a salesperson who can understand their application, earn their confidence, guide them through the buying process, overcome objections, and confidently ask for their business. You Don't Need to Know CNC. You Need to Know Sales. We'll teach you CNC plasma cutting, our machines, software, applications, demonstrations, and competitive landscape. We're much more interested in whether you already know how to: Sell. Listen. Follow up. Build trust. Handle objections. Create momentum. And close. If you've successfully sold cars, trucks, heavy equipment, construction services, home improvement, technology, financial products, B2B services, industrial products, or another higher-ticket product or service, your experience may translate extremely well to this position. What You'll Do You'll manage high-ticket sales opportunities from the initial conversation through the signed order.
That includes:
Respond quickly to warm inbound leads and active sales opportunities Consult with business owners, manufacturers, fabricators, contractors, schools, and professional equipment buyers Ask strong discovery questions to understand applications, production needs, challenges, budget, timeline, and purchasing requirements Recommend CNC equipment and configurations based on customer needs Prepare and present professional equipment quotes and proposals Follow up consistently by phone, email, text, and video Navigate objections involving price, financing, timing, competitors, and purchasing decisions Create momentum and confidently ask customers for the sale Manage multiple opportunities throughout different stages of the sales cycle Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline, follow-up schedule, and expected close dates Conduct virtual and in-person CNC equipment demonstrations after training Develop the technical knowledge necessary to confidently sell industrial machinery Generate additional opportunities through referrals, dealers, existing relationships, and targeted prospecting Occasionally attend trade shows, industry events, dealer visits, and customer meetings Who We're Looking For We're looking for a salesperson first. CNC, manufacturing, fabrication, welding, machining, or industrial equipment experience is valuable—but it isn't required. You could be an excellent fit if you: Have demonstrated success closing sales Are comfortable selling higher-ticket products or services Are competitive and motivated by commission Pick up the phone instead of hiding behind email Follow up consistently without needing someone to remind you Know how to uncover customer needs before pitching a solution Can comfortably discuss price, financing, ROI, and purchasing decisions Know how to overcome objections without becoming pushy Build credibility with business owners and professional buyers Can manage a sales pipeline without allowing good opportunities to disappear Are organized, accountable, and comfortable working in a CRM Enjoy learning and can become knowledgeable about technical products Take ownership of your results Want your earning potential tied directly to your performance Most importantly, you like to win. This Isn't Passive Sales If your idea of selling is answering an email, sending a quote, and waiting for the customer to call back, this probably isn't the right role. Great opportunities are won through great follow-up. Our successful salespeople stay engaged. They uncover what's holding up a purchase. They answer questions. They involve the right technical resources. They help customers compare options. They create urgency when appropriate. And when the time comes, they ask for the order. At the same time, this isn't a cold-calling boiler room. You'll have access to a steady flow of customers who have already expressed interest in our equipment, along with opportunities to generate additional business through dealers, referrals, existing relationships, and strategic prospecting. We'll Teach You the CNC & Industrial Equipment Side Don't know what a torch height controller does? That's okay. You don't need to walk through our doors already knowing CNC machinery. We'll train you on: Arclight Dynamics CNC cutting systems CNC plasma cutting fundamentals Plasma power supplies and cutting technology Machine sizes, options, and configurations CNC software and controls Customer applications Equipment demonstrations Competitive positioning Quoting and machine configuration How to identify the right system for a customer's application How manufacturers and fabrication businesses use CNC equipment to increase productivity and profitability You'll have access to experienced technical, manufacturing, and sales resources while you develop your product knowledge. We can teach CNC and industrial equipment. Drive, curiosity, persistence, accountability, and the desire to close are much harder to teach.
Compensation Expected Annual Compensation:
$54,000-$150,000+ This position includes: Base salary Commission Performance-based bonus opportunities Uncapped commission and earning potential High performers have the opportunity to significantly increase their earnings as their pipeline and sales production grow. Your compensation grows with your production. We want salespeople who are motivated by that. That makes this a different kind of sales career. You'll learn manufacturing. You'll learn CNC technology. You'll learn fabrication and industrial equipment. You'll work directly with business owners and professional buyers making meaningful capital-equipment decisions. And you'll have the opportunity to build a career in high-ticket industrial equipment sales while being rewarded for the business you produce. Think You Can Sell This?
