Job Description

Job Summary Lehigh University Dining Services is seeking a motivated, organized, and customer-focused Sales Coordinator - Catering & Concessions to help grow sales and increase revenue across our catering and concessions operations. This position will focus on identifying new business opportunities, promoting catering and concessions services, building relationships with university departments and campus organizations, and helping create memorable food and beverage experiences for students, faculty, staff, guests, and visitors. The ideal candidate is outgoing, proactive, and comfortable developing relationships, making sales recommendations, following up with clients, and finding creative ways to increase business. Duties & Responsibilities Identify and pursue opportunities to increase catering and concessions sales across campus. Develop and maintain strong relationships with university departments, student organizations, athletic programs, campus partners, and other potential clients. Promote Lehigh University Catering and Concessions services to campus groups and organizations. Respond to catering inquiries and assist clients in selecting menus, services, and event options that meet their needs and budget. Proactively reach out to existing and prospective clients to generate new catering business. Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell catering services, menu options, beverages, enhancements, and event services. Help develop promotional strategies, special offers, and packages designed to increase catering and concessions sales. Assist with marketing and promotional efforts for catering and concessions, including flyers, email outreach, social media content, campus promotions, and other sales materials. Work with Catering and Dining Services leadership to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for new products or services. Support sales efforts for athletic events, game days, special events, conferences, meetings, and other high-volume campus activities. Build awareness of concessions offerings and identify opportunities to increase sales at athletic and special events. Track sales activity, leads, customer outreach, and business opportunities. Attend campus events and networking opportunities to promote Dining Services offerings and build relationships. Gather customer feedback and use it to identify opportunities to improve products, services, and the overall customer experience. Monitor competitor and market trends and make recommendations for new products, services, pricing strategies, or promotional opportunities. Assist with achieving departmental sales and revenue goals. Perform other duties as assigned to support the growth and success of Dining Services. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in sales, catering, hospitality, food service, marketing, customer service, or a related field preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Outgoing, energetic, and comfortable initiating conversations with potential customers. Strong sales, networking, and relationship-building abilities. Excellent organizational and follow-up skills. Ability to manage multiple leads, projects, and priorities simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Comfortable using email, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and other business software. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team. Professional and customer-focused approach. Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and special events as needed.
