Position Summary The Inside Sales Representative will play a key role in driving customer satisfaction and business growth by managing customer accounts, processing inquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders, ensuring proactive communication and coordinating with engineering and production teams. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, technically minded professional who enjoys both customer interaction and problem-solving in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Quoting and Order Processing Serve as the initial point of contact for customers and prospects. Review customer drawings, specifications, and RFQs to prepare accurate quotes. Work with engineering and production teams to determine manufacturing process and estimated labor hours. Enter and manage sales orders. Enter and manage production models and jobs. Sales Support Assist in developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring repeat business and long-term satisfaction. Follow up on quotations as needed and convert opportunities into sales in accordance with the organization's strategic plan. Coordinate / communicate order status updates, expedite requests, and delivery schedules. Monitor and manage client schedules communicating to engineering and operations as needed. Immediate communication of any quality issue to Quality Manager and coordination of the response to client in actions to satisfy the client's needs. Collaboration Liaise with engineering, quality, and production departments to ensure accurate understanding of customer requirements. Communicate effectively with logistics and shipping to ensure on-time delivery. Market and Customer Insight Stay informed about transformer industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer developments.
Qualifications Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
2-5 years of inside sales or customer service experience in a manufacturing, metals, or metal fabrication environment preferred. Familiarity with machining, metal fabrication, and metals are a plus.
Technical Skills:
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (exceptional usage of excel). Strong math and analytical skills for cost estimation.
Soft Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Capable of working in a team environment and detail oriented. Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $59,000.00 per year
