Job Overview The Bridal Sales Consultant is responsible for delivering an exceptional and personalized bridal an social occasion shopping experience while contributing to the overall success of the store through strong customer service, sales performance, and operational support. This role combines styling expertise, relationship-building, and attention to detail to help brides find the gown that best reflects their vision and personality. The ideal candidate is outgoing, organized, fashion-forward, and passionate about creating memorable experiences in a fast-paced luxury retail environment. Key Responsibilities Opening & Start-of-Day Responsibilities Arrive on time, professionally dressed, and prepared to represent the In White brand Open the store including disarming alarms, unlocking doors, and preparing the showroom for the day Open registers, count cash drawers, and verify starting balances Review voicemail, email, and daily appointment schedule Return urgent calls and confirm upcoming bridal appointments Ensure the showroom is clean, organized, and visually presentation-ready Prepare fitting rooms with styling tools, clips, veils, and accessories Review daily sales goals, appointments, and team assignments Customer Service & Bridal Sales Greet all guests warmly and professionally upon arrival Answer phones and assist customers with inquiries, scheduling, and general support Manage bridal appointment flow and walk-in traffic efficiently Conduct one-on-one bridal styling appointments by: Learning the bride's vision, style preferences, budget, and wedding timeline Selecting and pulling gowns tailored to the bride's needs Assisting with try-ons, styling, accessorizing, and fit visualization Providing supportive, honest, and knowledgeable guidance throughout the appointment Creating a celebratory and memorable experience for brides and guests Build strong relationships with brides to foster trust, confidence, and long-term communication Confidently ask for the sale and professionally navigate objections or concerns Maintain ongoing communication with brides including follow-ups, updates, and appointment reminders Accurately enter customer information, notes, preferences, and purchase details into BridalLive or applicable CRM systems Operational & Administrative Responsibilities Respond to emails, texts, and online inquiries in a timely and professional manner Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments Process customer transactions accurately including deposits, payments, and accessory purchases Maintain organized and accurate customer profiles and purchase history Assist with inventory tracking and gown status updates Relay detailed customer messages and notes to appropriate team members Merchandising & Store Upkeep Maintain showroom cleanliness and organization throughout the day Properly return gowns and accessories to designated locations after appointments Lightly steam gowns and maintain presentation standards as needed Reset and organize fitting rooms between appointments Assist with receiving, unpacking, tagging, and organizing new merchandise Ensure displays, accessories, veils, and sample gowns align with visual merchandising standards Marketing & Brand Support Participate in marketing initiatives by appearing in promotional content as requested. Assist the marketing team by identifying customer stories, bridal trends, frequently asked questions, and product highlights that would make engaging content. Share feedback from brides regarding trends, designers, products, and customer preferences to help inform marketing campaigns and merchandising decisions. Support in-store marketing initiatives, promotions, trunk shows, and special events Represent the In White brand professionally in all marketing-related activities. End-of-Day & Closing Responsibilities Complete final showroom walkthrough to ensure cleanliness and organization Return all gowns, veils, and accessories to proper storage areas Perform light cleaning duties including trash removal, mirror cleaning, and surface upkeep Close registers and balance cash drawers accurately Document daily sales activity and communicate important notes to leadership Follow up with brides from the day's appointments including thank-you messages and CRM updates Confirm and prepare for upcoming appointments Secure the store including lights, music, doors, and alarm systems Additional Expectations Stay current on bridal designers, industry trends, fabrics, silhouettes, and product knowledge Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and contribute to a supportive work environment Handle emotional or sensitive customer situations with empathy and professionalism Support fellow team members during busy periods and special events Contribute to achieving store sales goals, KPIs, and customer experience standards Represent the In White brand with professionalism, enthusiasm, and style at all times Qualifications Previous retail, bridal, fashion, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Confidence in sales and relationship-building Weekend and evening availability required Passion for fashion, styling, and customer experience Experience with BridalLive or CRM systems preferred but not required Ability to stand and move throughout the showroom for extended periods Ability to lift and move bridal gowns, garment bags, boxes, and accessories Ability to assist brides in and out of gowns during appointments This role's hourly wages start at $15 per hour plus commission on merchandise sales.
