What You'll Do As a Counter Sales Associate, you'll be one of the faces of Nicklas Supply. You'll work directly with customers in person and over the phone, answer questions, process orders, recommend products, and build relationships that keep customers coming back. You'll also have opportunities to help grow the business by identifying additional customer needs and assisting with sales efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service in person and over the phone. Help customers identify and select the right plumbing products for their needs. Recommend additional or alternative products when appropriate Answer questions about products, availability, pricing, and alternatives. Accurately enter and process customer orders and sales information, including payments. Promote products, specials, and promotions. Follow up on special customer requests. Develop and maintain strong knowledge of plumbing products, industry trends, and pricing. Handle warranty claims, returns, and customer concerns professionally and efficiently. Operate material-handling equipment safely. Keep the counter and display areas clean, organized, and presentable. Work with coworkers and other departments to provide excellent service and meet company goals. Use order entry, point-of-sale, inventory, email, computer, and other technology systems.
Requirements:
Valid PA driver's license and reliable transportation. Basic math and strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. That requires standing and walking for much of the workday and performing physical tasks such as bending, squatting, climbing, reaching, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting 50 pounds regularly. Comfortable working at heights
Preferred:
Previous sales experience. Plumbing product or industry knowledge. What You Can Expect This is an in-person, full-time Monday-Friday position . The role combines customer service, sales, product knowledge, order processing, and some hands-on warehouse activity. You'll work closely with customers, vendors, coworkers, and other departments, making communication and teamwork an important part of the job.
