Job Description
Key responsibilities:
Deliver sales, volume, revenue and profitability targets for the assigned Americas territory and customer portfolio. Identify, qualify and convert new customers, markets and applications for Almatis products. Build and actively manage a pipeline of new business opportunities from prospecting through qualification, sampling, negotiation and customer conversion. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities for account expansion and increased market share. Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify attractive growth opportunities in all related industries. Generate new leads through customer visits, industry networks, conferences, trade shows, referrals and proactive outbound prospecting. Engage with purchasing, engineering, R D, operations and senior decision-makers to understand customer needs and develop appropriate commercial solutions. Coordinate with Product Line Management, Application & Market Development, Quality, Customer Service and Operations to convert opportunities into profitable business. Prepare quotations, proposals and business cases and support commercial negotiations and contracts. Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer developments to identify further growth opportunities. Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines, forecasts, customer information and activity reporting. Represent Almatis at customer meetings, conferences and industry events across Americas.About you:
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, science or a related field. 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in business development or sales, preferably within an international organization. Good knowledge and understanding of the refractory, ceramics, iron and steel, cement or chemical industries, including their products, markets and customers. Excellent relationship-building, networking and negotiation skills. Strong strategic and analytical capabilities. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Proactive, entrepreneurial and customer-focused mindset. Ability to work effectively in an international and intercultural environment. Fluent in English; proficiency in another language is considered a plus. Willingness to travel extensively and occasionally visit other Almatis locations worldwide.Pay:
