Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven SDR Team Lead to manage, coach, and develop our growing Sales Development Representative team. The SDR Team Lead will own top-of-funnel activity, helping our SDRs generate qualified sales opportunities for their assigned Account Executives. This is a hands-on role that combines team management and coaching with direct involvement in prospecting, performance management, and sales strategy. The ideal candidate is an experienced sales professional and natural leader who knows how to motivate a team, coach to measurable results, and create a culture of accountability. They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume outbound environment and equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to prospect alongside the team when needed.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Coaching:
Lead, coach, and support a team of SDRs to achieve and exceed activity and opportunity-generation goals Establish clear daily, weekly, and monthly performance expectations Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions, call reviews, and team meetings Provide direct, constructive feedback on prospecting techniques, talk tracks, objection handling, qualification, and meeting-setting skills Monitor outbound calls, emails, conversations, meetings, qualified opportunities, and other key performance indicators Identify individual and team performance trends and develop coaching plans to address opportunities for improvement Onboard and train new SDRs, equipping them with the playbooks and strategies needed to hit quota fast Foster a high-energy, competitive, and supportive team environment that celebrates wins and maintains high accountability
Prospecting & Opportunity Generation:
Manage the team's top-of-funnel sales activity and overall opportunity-generation performance Ensure SDRs effectively utilize company-provided lead lists to create new sales opportunities Oversee lead distribution and coordinate SDR assignments with Account Executives and sales leadership Ensure accurate CRM records and consistent documentation of prospect activity, qualification details, and follow-up plans Analyze performance trends, identify conversion gaps, and deliver actionable pipeline reporting to sales leadership Participate in outbound prospecting and lead-generation activities alongside the team when needed Qualifications Previous experience in sales development, inside sales, business development, or a similar outbound sales role Previous team lead, mentoring, or coaching experience preferred Proven experience with outbound prospecting, buyer qualification, objection handling, and meeting-setting strategies Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills High-energy, positive, and results-oriented approach Comfortable working in a high-volume outbound sales environment and maintaining motivation through challenges and rejection Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage team priorities, lead assignments, performance data, and follow-up activity Tech-savvy and comfortable working with CRM, sales intelligence, and communication platforms Self-motivated, accountable, and capable of creating urgency and maintaining team momentum Strong team player who can build productive relationships across the sales organization Experience in payment processing, fintech, or B2B sales is preferred but not required High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred but not required Benefits We invest in our people and are committed to providing the resources, support, and opportunities they need to succeed.
