Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Flooring Sales Specialist to join our small team in a third-generation family owned and operated company for over 62 years. In this role, you will be the key driver of flooring sales, providing expert guidance to clients throughout their renovation and remodeling projects. Your passion for interior design, construction experience, and exceptional communication skills will help you build lasting relationships with customers while showcasing our premium flooring products. This position offers a vibrant environment where your sales expertise and technical proficiency will directly contribute to our company's growth and customer satisfaction. Duties Engage with customers both inside the store and through outside sales efforts to understand their flooring needs and project goals Provide detailed product demonstrations, including layout design, and material selections using tools like RFMS Assist clients with remodeling projects by offering expert advice on flooring installation, maintenance, and related fixtures Develop strong customer relationships through personalized service, follow-up communications, and ongoing support Handle POS transactions accurately, including cash handling and receipt issuance while maintaining organized stock levels Skills Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, or construction sales with a focus on product expertise Knowledge of renovation processes, remodeling techniques, and interior design principles Excellent customer service skills combined with clear communication abilities in English; multilingual skills are a plus Technical proficiency in understanding the flooring installation processes and proper maintenance practices Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple clients simultaneously while ensuring timely follow-up and accurate record-keeping Compensation Pay structure tailored to experience. We offer a balanced base salary plus commission, with options ranging from a higher base salary for those new to the flooring industry to higher commission tiers for experienced flooring sales professionals.
