A Business Development Specialist identifies new business opportunities and clients for a company, identifies new products, services and lines of business, and develops marketing and sales strategies to help grow a company's business. Collects and manages data on sales and business processes, does market research, and stays informed of industry trends and dynamics. Builds customer relationships and partnerships. Reports to a Business Development Manager or Director.

Job Description
- Attend real estate investor, industry, and local networking events
- Attend real estate auctions
- Call company-provided prospect lists
- Cold call investors, builders, contractors, developers, and potential borrowers
- Research local construction projects and identify potential lending opportunities
- Review public records, permits, contractor information, and other lead sources
- Build relationships with investors, builders, contractors, attorneys, real estate agents, and referral partners
- Shadow experienced team members on calls and meetings
- Learn how private lending opportunities are evaluated
- Track contacts, notes, activity, and follow-up in the CRM
- Attend required in-office meetings, typically Tuesday and Thursday mornings in Cohasset
- Review sales activity and receive ongoing training from the team This role requires persistence.
