We support major public agencies and educational institutions by providing high-level project management professionals and operational support for capital improvement programs. We are seeking a driven, organized, and relationship-focused Business Development & Marketing Assistant to support company growth initiatives, proposal development, client outreach, branding efforts, and marketing coordination. About This Role This is not a traditional marketing or administrative role. The Business Development & Marketing Assistant plays a key role in supporting company growth by helping build relationships, identify opportunities, support proposal development, strengthen client communication, and increase brand visibility across the public-sector construction industry. This role is ideal for someone who: Enjoys networking and relationship building Is naturally outgoing and energized by meeting people Is comfortable being client-facing and representing the company professionally Enjoys supporting sales and business growth initiatives Communicates confidently with professionals, clients, and industry partners Likes attending industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities Is proactive with outreach, follow-up efforts, and relationship management What You'll Do - Your Mission Business Development & Client Relations Support leadership with business development and client outreach initiatives Research school districts, public agencies, and construction opportunities Assist in identifying, tracking, and pursuing new business opportunities Help coordinate proposals, qualification packages, and marketing materials Maintain and update CRM systems, client databases, and opportunity tracking logs Support client follow-ups, meeting coordination, and relationship management efforts Assist with pipeline tracking, sales activity reporting, and proposal deadlines Build and maintain professional relationships through networking events, conferences, and LinkedIn outreach Represent PSS professionally during networking events, conferences, outreach initiatives, and client interactions Help coordinate conference attendance, industry events, and client engagement initiatives Run Division of the State Architect (DSA) reports and research public project opportunities Support leadership in preparing for presentations, meetings, and business development discussions Assist in nurturing warm leads and helping move opportunities through the pipeline Marketing & Brand Support Support company branding and marketing initiatives across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms Assist with creating social media content, graphics, and marketing materials Maintain monthly content calendars and posting schedules Support company visibility through online engagement and networking Assist with marketing reports, engagement tracking, and campaign coordination Help maintain consistent branding across proposals, presentations, and outreach materials Event & Networking Coordination Assist in planning and coordinating conferences, networking events, career fairs, and company functions Coordinate logistics including registrations, materials, vendor communication, and event setup Maintain event calendars and track networking opportunities Capture and organize business contacts from events into CRM and LinkedIn Operations Support Assist with onboarding coordination, employee gifts, and company culture initiatives Support leadership with administrative and operational projects as needed Help maintain organized digital files, marketing assets, and proposal documentation Assist with internal reporting, spreadsheets, and tracking systems What You Bring Core Strengths Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Naturally outgoing and confident in professional and client-facing environments Comfortable networking, initiating conversations, and building relationships Energetic, personable, and able to represent the company professionally at meetings, conferences, and events Strong interpersonal presence with the ability to communicate confidently with clients and industry professionals Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented Interest in business development, sales support, and company growth Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment Creative mindset with the ability to support marketing and branding initiatives Technical Skills Proficiency in LinkedIn, Instagram, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace Experience with Canva, video editing, or graphic design tools preferred Familiarity with CRM systems, marketing tools, or willingness to learn Comfortable using spreadsheets, reporting tools, and online research platforms Preferred Qualifications Experience in business development, sales support, marketing coordination, client relations, or proposal coordination Experience coordinating events, outreach initiatives, or networking activities is a plus Social media content creation and branding experience preferred Public agency, staffing, construction, or professional services experience is a plus Why Join PSS?
