CitaCoffee.com in Pasadena, CA, and hiring a Business Development Specialist to build the local partnership network that makes "Real People, Real Dates" possible — starting with colleges, student unions, coffee shops, and other local businesses.

The Role:

As our Business Development Specialist, you'll identify, pitch, and secure the local partnerships that give CitaCoffee users real places to meet. You'll be the main point of contact for campus organizations and neighborhood businesses considering a relationship with us.

Partnership Development:

Identify and approach student unions, campus organizations, coffee shops, and other local businesses to establish CitaCoffee partnerships and designated meetup spots.

Relationship Management:

Serve as the ongoing point of contact for partner businesses and organizations, maintaining strong working relationships after a partnership is signed.

Negotiation & Agreements:

Propose partnership terms (for example, meetup-spot arrangements, co-promotion, or campus event access) and coordinate approvals with our growth team.

Campus & Community Promotion:

Support outreach to student unions and campus organizations to raise awareness of CitaCoffee among students and local community members.

Event Coordination:

Help plan and coordinate promotional events and pop-ups at partner locations in support of campus and neighborhood launches.

Reporting:

Track partnership pipeline, outcomes, and feedback, and report insights to our product and growth teams.

Compensation & Perks:

Hourly base pay: $22.00 - $25.00/hr (paid bi-weekly) Performance bonuses tied to partnerships secured and active meetup locations, in addition to base hourly pay Free upgrade to our Premium tier Weekly stipend to cover your own CitaCoffee meetups at partner cafes

Who We're Looking For:

Experience or strong interest in business development, partnerships, sales, or campus organization work Comfortable initiating conversations with business owners, student union staff, and campus organizations Familiar with the Pasadena/Los Angeles college and local business community Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple partner relationships at once Self-starter who can manage their own schedule and meet weekly targets Must be at least 18 years old (required due to the age-restricted nature of this social/dating platform)
