PART-TIME DAIRY SALES & SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Central Valley, California Part-time:

Approximately 20-25 hours per week San Joaquin Dairy Service, Inc. is a family-owned agricultural supply company serving California dairies. We are looking for a dependable, personable individual to develop new customer relationships and help dairies find the right teat dips, sanitation chemicals and dairy supplies for their operations. This position is ideal for someone with dairy-industry knowledge who enjoys working directly with dairy owners, managers and employees. Previous sales experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person who understands dairies and communicates well. Responsibilities Visit dairies throughout the assigned Central Valley territory Develop relationships with dairy owners, managers and other decision-makers Introduce customers to our teat dips, cleaning chemicals and dairy supplies Ask questions to understand each dairy's needs and recommend appropriate products Arrange product trials, prepare quotes and follow up with prospective customers Check in with assigned customers and help address product or service concerns Maintain accurate records of visits, leads, trials, quotes and sales Coordinate with our service and delivery team Represent San Joaquin Dairy Service honestly and professionally Qualifications Experience working with dairies, dairy supplies, animal health, agricultural sales or a related field is strongly preferred Understanding of milking procedures, teat dips or dairy sanitation is a plus Comfortable approaching new customers and building long-term relationships Dependable, self-motivated and organized Able to work independently and follow up consistently Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Bilingual English and Spanish is highly preferred Basic phone, text, email and recordkeeping skills Compensation $24-$26 per hour, depending on dairy and sales experience 5% commission on qualifying, collected sales from new customers Company vehicle and fuel provided for approved business use Product and sales training provided but knowlege about dairy operations is highly favored Opportunity to grow into a full-time position based on performance and business needs Opportunity to grow commission to 10% Schedule Approximately 20-25 hours per week. The schedule offers some flexibility, but availability during normal dairy business hours is required. Occasional early-morning visits may be necessary.
