Job Title:
Sales Representative Job Description This role supports a new delivery program by recruiting local businesses to join a hub delivery partner network across designated areas in Virginia. You will visit prospective businesses in person, present the program, qualify interested partners, and guide them through the full application process while managing your pipeline in Salesforce. Working closely with a Field Manager and other local contractors, you will also help organize and execute community-based recruitment events and drive referrals through local organizations. The position involves regular travel within a two-hour driving radius and offers uncapped commission based on the successful conversion of partner businesses. Responsibilities Visit prospective businesses door to door in targeted towns. Present and pitch the new delivery program opportunity to prospective businesses and generate interest in applying. Qualify prospective businesses to ensure they meet program criteria and are a good fit for the hub delivery partner program. Guide qualified businesses through the full application process, answering questions and helping resolve issues in the field. Record, track, and manage all lead and pipeline activity using Salesforce, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information. Support the Field Manager in planning, coordinating, and hosting community recruitment events such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town hall meetings. Collaborate with the Field Manager to engage local influencers and organizations, including chambers of commerce and economic development associations, to drive referrals. Import Excel spreadsheets into Salesforce on a weekly basis to ensure data is organized and accessible. Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with business owners and community partners. Continuously raise the bar for the delivery experience by helping recruit partners capable of operating in complex last-mile delivery scenarios. Essential Skills 1-2+ years of experience in sales and/or customer service. Outside or field sales experience. CRM experience, with Salesforce strongly preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with business owners. Clear and confident verbal communication and presentation skills. Ability to travel up to four hours round-trip on a daily basis. Comfort working on the road and independently managing daily schedules and routes. Proficiency with Excel for handling and importing data into Salesforce. Attention to detail and accuracy when managing leads, applications, and partner information. Problem-solving skills to assist applicants with issues encountered during the application process. Additional Skills & Qualifications Field sales experience is a plus beyond the required outside sales background. Prior experience in roles involving sales and/or negotiation with customers is a plus. Exceptional customer service and communication skills, including active listening and follow-through. Professionalism and enthusiasm for working with others, including teammates, community partners, and business owners. High sense of urgency and ownership when following up with leads and moving partners through the pipeline. Tech-savvy mindset with experience working across multiple systems and technologies. Ability to work effectively with a Field Manager and other local contractors to achieve recruitment goals. Motivation to earn uncapped commission based on performance and partner conversion. Work Environment This is a field-based role with significant travel and a mix of on-the-road and remote work. You will spend approximately 4-5 days per week on the road visiting businesses, with the remaining time spent working from home to manage follow-ups, pipeline activities, and administrative tasks. The territory includes Lynchburg to Roanoke. You will use Salesforce as the primary CRM system and regularly import data from Excel spreadsheets. The position offers uncapped commission with earnings tied to partner milestones, along with a monthly phone reimbursement and mileage reimbursement. The work environment emphasizes autonomy, field-based relationship building, and collaboration with a Field Manager and community organizations to support a high-quality delivery partner experience. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Roanoke, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00- $27.
