Job Description
REPORTS TO
Laboratory Director & Director of Finance Aurora Analytical is looking for a Sales Representative who is a strategic sales professional with a solid track record of growth preferably in Michigan's cannabis industry. They need to be adept at building and continuing to grow successful business partnerships. Must be highly motivated with problem solving acumen and the ability to multitask and prioritize hitting sales targets and achieve goals. This person will work towards our goal of maximizing sales in Michigan's market and building client relationships with our testing partners.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:- Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
- Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise pre and post service.
- Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
- Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
- Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales.
- Recommend marketing strategies to target a specific region or demographic.
- Generate and submit sales reports to management.
- Attend industry conferences, meetings, and trade shows to identify potential sales leads and make meaningful contact with existing customers.
- Provides periodic territory sales forecasts as directed.
- Maintaining awareness and staying abreast of developments as it pertains to the cannabis industry.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 5 Years applicable experience in a similar role within Michigan's regulated cannabis market.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms
- Familiarity with data entry and throughput.
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems.
- Familiarity with accreditation and regulatory processes.
