Job Description
bout the Role Odyssey Behavioral Centers is seeking a driven Outside Sales Representative / Community Outreach Liaison to build and grow referral relationships across our service area. This is a field-based role for someone who thrives on face-to-face relationship building and wants their work to make a real difference in people's lives. You'll be the bridge between our treatment programs and the hospitals, clinicians, employers, and community organizations that serve people struggling with substance abuse and mental health challenges. What You'll Do Build and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, emergency departments, therapists, psychiatrists, primary care offices, EAPs, schools, courts, and community organizations Represent Odyssey Behavioral Centers at community events, health fairs, provider meetings, and industry conferences Educate referral sources on our levels of care, admissions process, and treatment outcomes Track outreach activity and referral pipeline in CRM; report on territory performance Respond quickly to inbound referral inquiries and coordinate with admissions/intake teams Identify new outreach opportunities and stay current on local behavioral health trends and resources Represent the organization with professionalism, empathy, and integrity given the sensitive nature of the population served What We're Looking For 2+ years of outside sales, business development, or community/provider relations experience (behavioral health, healthcare, or human services strongly preferred) Existing network of referral contacts in the local behavioral health, medical, or recovery community is a plus Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; comfortable initiating relationships and cold outreach Self-motivated with strong time management; able to manage an independent field territory Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for regular local travel Passion for reducing stigma and improving access to mental health and substance abuse treatment Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered What We Offer Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentives Mileage reimbursement / vehicle allowance The opportunity to be part of a mission-driven team changing lives every day
