Job Description

Position Summary Founded in 1972 and now in its third generation of family ownership, Howell Rescue Systems represents leading brands across the fire and rescue industry and is experiencing significant growth throughout the eastern U.S. We are a hardworking, team-focused organization that values learning, collaboration, initiative, and having fun while making a meaningful difference in the fire and rescue community. We are seeking a full-time Sales Enablement Specialist to support and strengthen our growing sales organization. This role serves as the internal engine behind our field sales team, helping representatives sell more effectively by providing product and competitive knowledge, maintaining Salesforce CRM, and conducting opportunity and market research. By taking on the research, preparation, and product-knowledge work that can pull sales representatives out of the field, this position helps the entire team work more efficiently and better serve our customers. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, analytical, curious, and eager to learn the fire service and public safety industry. The Sales Enablement Specialist will work closely with the VP of Sales and gain valuable exposure to our products, customers, markets, and overall sales operation. For the right individual, this position provides a genuine pathway to grow into a field sales representative role as Howell Rescue Systems continues to expand. Key Responsibilities Sales Team Educator & Product Resource The most important function of this role is to keep our sales team sharp, informed, and equipped with the product knowledge they need to win in the field. Serve as the internal product knowledge resource for the sales team across all HRS product lines Develop and maintain product information materials, competitor comparisons, and sales-support documents that reps can use in the field Research and build competitor comparison content so reps can clearly articulate how our products stack up Maintain constant communication with sales reps regarding product updates, new offerings, and important changes Support product training efforts, which are primarily led by the VP of Sales or company product specialists, by helping prepare and organize materials Assist with sales strategy for the field team, contributing research and product insight to support territory and deal planning Salesforce CRM Management A well-maintained CRM keeps the entire sales organization running smoothly and gives leadership the visibility it needs. Serve as the primary coordinator for Salesforce data quality, reporting, and user support Manage ongoing data entry, account updates, and pipeline maintenance Build and maintain reports and dashboards to support sales leadership and rep visibility Identify and resolve data gaps or inconsistencies within the CRM Opportunity & Market Research Proactive research uncovers where we can grow and helps the team focus their efforts where it matters most. Use GovWin and other research tools to identify public safety procurement opportunities across HRS territories Build and maintain market sales reports that analyze trends, territory gaps, and coverage opportunities by product line Research and identify untapped fire departments and public safety agencies within each sales representative's territory Assist sales leadership by identifying market opportunities, maintaining reports, and supporting territory planning Qualifications Success in this role does not require prior experience in the fire industry as long as the candidate is curious, analytical, comfortable with data management, and eager to learn new products/markets Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience required Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with CRM platforms; Salesforce experience, familiarity with GovWin or similar government procurement research platform strongly preferred Ability to learn technical product information and translate it into clear, usable materials for a sales team Strong written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment Professional, team-oriented attitude with a genuine interest in growing within the organization Interest in the fire service or public safety industry is a plus but not required

$53,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
