Sales Representative Posted on April 16, 2025 April 16, 2025 by JMJ Phillip We are seeking a motivated and driven Sales Representative to join our client's growing team, reporting to the Sales Manager based in Langley, British Columbia. This remote, offsite role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives on finding new opportunities, building strong relationships, and delivering top-tier customer service. With a strong focus on the packaging and printing manufacturing industry, the Sales Representative will play a key role in expanding our customer base—especially within the produce sector across the east coast of the USA. Position Responsibilities Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's products and services. Stay up to date with industry developments to effectively present solutions to clients. Participate in product and sales training sessions, both in-person and virtually. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Track sales activities, manage tasks and opportunities, and review performance metrics. Use CRM insights to drive sales growth and customer engagement. Meet weekly with the Sales Manager to review opportunities, RFQs, and sales progress. Provide updates on key accounts, pipeline activity, and forecast wins. Analyze results to identify areas for improvement and growth. Notify the Sales Manager of all customer concerns and resolve issues quickly and professionally. Work with internal departments to resolve disputes, quality concerns, and delivery challenges. Research assigned territory to identify and target potential customers. Focus outreach on produce companies using lidding films and laminated pouch bags. Acquire new business through proactive outreach and effective closing techniques. Build long-lasting relationships by offering tailored solutions and consistent follow-up. Conduct regular in-person visits to understand customer needs and build trust. Set measurable sales goals aligned with SMART criteria. Maintain a robust opportunity pipeline and meet or exceed monthly and annual targets. Partner with CSRs to ensure accurate quotes and timely product delivery. Ensure seamless communication between sales and customer service teams. Maintain high levels of client satisfaction in the produce industry segment. Prerequisites At least 3 years of B2B sales experience in packaging, printing, produce, or a related field. Proven ability to build and grow new business relationships, especially in food produce. Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals and territory growth. Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel. Certifications (Preferred, but not Required) or Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred but not required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms is required.
