Job Description

Territory Sales Representative Location:
Remote in Richmond, CA | Significant Travel Required About the Role The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for owning and growing a defined geography. This is a proving-ground role for future Regional Sales Managers. You'll drive municipal and developer sales, manage your pipeline from first call to close, and collaborate across teams to deliver successful projects. You'll be expected to show leadership and drive results that could lead to team management down the road.
What You'll Do Territory Growth & Pipeline Management:
Build and manage a pipeline of municipal, county, government, and developer opportunities; actively prospect through cold calls, emails, events, and referrals.
Client Engagement:
Meet with city decision makers, public works leaders, and developers to present solutions and guide them through the procurement/bid process.
Sales Cycle Ownership:
Drive opportunities from discovery through proposal, bid, and close.
Public Sector Expertise:
Learn and navigate municipal procurement, grant, and funding processes unique to your region.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work with marketing, application design, and operations to deliver accurate proposals and ensure customer satisfaction.
CRM Discipline:
Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and pipeline data in Salesforce.
Thought Leadership:
Position yourself as a trusted advisor to municipalities .
What You Bring Experience:
4+ years of B2B sales experience (municipal, infrastructure, or public sector preferred).
Hunter Mentality :
Proven ability to prospect, open doors, and close deals.
Government Sales Aptitude:
Exposure to public works, procurement, or civic infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
Strong Communicator:
Excellent presentation, verbal, and written skills.
Organized & Driven:
Ability to manage a large pipeline while meeting deadlines and targets.
Tech-Savvy:
Comfortable with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
Travel-Ready :
