Job Overview A growing precision manufacturing company in Seekonk, MA is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Sales Representative to help expand its customer base and develop new business opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional who understands the manufacturing and machining industry and knows how to build relationships with engineers, purchasing departments, operations leaders, and other key decision-makers. The company specializes in precision CNC machining , including multi-axis milling, CNC turning, prototyping, and production manufacturing for customers across industries such as aerospace, defense, medical, and OEM manufacturing. Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities within manufacturing, aerospace, defense, medical, OEM, and related industries Prospect and generate new customers through cold calling, email, networking, referrals, industry contacts, and other business-development efforts Build and maintain strong relationships with purchasing managers, engineers, supply-chain professionals, and other decision-makers Generate RFQ opportunities for CNC machining and manufacturing projects Work with internal estimating and manufacturing teams to understand customer requirements and develop competitive proposals Follow up on quotes and actively work opportunities through the sales process Develop new accounts while maintaining and growing relationships with existing customers Understand customer drawings, specifications, tolerances, materials, quantities, and production requirements Communicate the company's manufacturing capabilities and identify where those capabilities can solve customer problems Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular updates on prospects, quotes, opportunities, and potential revenue Visit customer facilities and attend industry events or networking opportunities as needed Help identify new markets, customers, and industries where the company's machining capabilities can be utilized Ideal Candidate Previous sales experience within CNC machining, precision manufacturing, metalworking, fabrication, or a closely related industry Strong understanding of the manufacturing sales process Existing industry relationships or book of contacts is highly desirable Comfortable prospecting and developing business from the ground up Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, purchasing departments, executives, and manufacturing professionals Familiarity with CNC milling, CNC turning, machining processes, materials, tolerances, blueprints, and RFQs is strongly preferred Ability to understand technical customer requirements and communicate them effectively to the manufacturing team Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills Self-motivated and comfortable working independently Results-driven with a strong desire to grow accounts and generate new revenue Manufacturing Capabilities The sales representative will be selling precision manufacturing services that include: 3
  • 4• and 5-axis CNC milling CNC horizontal and vertical milling CNC turning Live tooling and bar-feed capabilities Precision prototyping Small•and large-volume production Machining of aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, carbon steels, brass, bronze, plastics, and other materials Outside processing and finishing services Precision inspection and quality-controlled manufacturing What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is more than an order taker.
We are looking for someone who can actively hunt for new business , establish relationships, uncover machining opportunities, generate RFQs, and convert those opportunities into long-term customers. Candidates with an established network within CNC machining, aerospace, defense, medical device, OEM, industrial manufacturing, or contract manufacturing will be especially valuable. This position offers an opportunity to join a growing manufacturing operation with advanced machining capabilities and significant potential for continued sales growth.
Pay:
$60,000.00
