A Sales Support Specialist works as part of a sales team to provide support to sales representatives and assist with customer service. Manages data used by a sales team. Reviews orders and customer requests, and works to resolve customer issues related to sales. May research and develop leads for sales.
This position is responsible for providing real-time support to all retail customers and ensuring their understanding and compliance with branded requirements/programs. This position is responsible for the adherence of relevant sales information, data, and keeping management informed of issues.
Responsibilities/Duties:
First point of contact with retail customers. Resolve customer concerns by investigating problems and troubleshooting via telephone. Involve technical support resources, accounting department, dispatch, and vendors as needed to resolve issues and recommend solutions.
Communicate daily with customers via phone to assist with questions regarding brand programs and product knowledge. Provide expertise to customers regarding requirements of branded programs. Develop customer relationships and build trust through credible, timely, and consistent interactions, keeping sensitive client information confidential.
Prepare time-sensitive reports and analysis for customers as needed.
Support Sales by compiling, summarizing, reporting information, and preparing presentations.
Maintain CRM (customer relationship management) data to ensure accuracy of information.
Create marketing material/talking points for Sales team.
Provide office administrative and receptionist phone support.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Preferred 3+ years in customer service.
Ability to multi-task with conflicting priorities in a pressured environment while still maintaining a customer-oriented demeanor.
Self-directed and able to prioritize, make decisions, and meet deadlines independently, with professional, quality results.
Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to interact effectively throughout all levels of the organization.
Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to acquire knowledge of the fuel industry and supplier requirements.
Computer skills, with knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
