Job Description

Outside Sales Rep We are actively looking for an Outside Sales Rep experienced in Lumber & Building Materials sales to join our growing team! As the Outside Sales Rep, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with contractors and homebuilders, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets. You will utilize your building materials knowledge, particularly in lumber, concrete, roofing, framing, and trusses to effectively communicate and demonstrate the value of our client's products to customers. Outside Sales Rep:
Ensure delivery of target sales by meeting with customers and maintaining relationships Recommend service and product enhancements to improve sales potential Analyze plans and trends to ensure best assignment of territories, clients, and service distribution. Maintain technical and professional knowledge by reviewing professional publications, participating in industry networks, and growing lasting client relationships Establish sales objectives by projecting expected sales volumes and forecasting. Remain relevant with economic indicators, changing trends, supply and demand shifts, and product mix. Positively contribute to full sales and customer service teams Develop and collaborate on long- and short-term sales strategies Requirements of the
Outside Sales Rep:
Minimum 3-5 years of Outside Sales experience in Building Materials and/or Construction Proficient in reading Blueprints and doing takeoffs Strong knowledge of lumber, building materials, trusses, framing, millwork, etc. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Highly motivated and results-oriented Strong negotiation and closing skills
