Full Job Description Job Purpose:
The Sales Coordinator at Hilton Garden Inn Harlingen, under
BC LYND HOSPITALITY
LLC, will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team by coordinating sales activities, managing client relationships, and ensuring smooth operations within the hospitality industry. This full-time position requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks and contribute to the overall success of the hotel's sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the sales team in executing sales strategies and initiatives to achieve business goals. Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and events for the sales department. Maintain and update client databases and sales records with accuracy and confidentiality. Prepare sales reports, presentations, and proposals as required by the sales team. Communicate effectively with clients, addressing their inquiries and providing excellent customer service. Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless execution of events and guest satisfaction. Monitor and manage inventory of sales materials and promotional items. Support the sales team in organizing and attending trade shows, conferences, and networking events. Handle administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and correspondence related to sales activities. Contribute to a positive team environment by participating in team meetings and sharing insights for process improvement.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a sales support or coordinator role within the hospitality industry. Proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Experience in customer service or client-facing roles is highly desirable.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients, guests, and team members. Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with hospitality management software. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle last-minute requests efficiently. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
