  • Do you love cars?
  • Do you love people?
  • Do you love negotiating?
  • Do you want to have the most fun job in Town? We have two very successful buyers in the Salt Lake area and they can't get to all the great cars available, so we're adding to the team. As our car buyer, you'll be playing a major role on the team
  • finding and purchasing the inventory for our dealership from the private party market. You will be watching KSL, Facebook and other sites throughout the day, searching for the best deals on awesome cars, trucks, and Jeeps
  • and then the fun begins. Its like a race
  • to get to those great deals quickly, evaluate the car, negotiate a price, and make a purchase
  • all in less than an hour or two.
.. There's lots of competition for these great deals, so you have to be competitive, love to be on-the-go, enjoy the chase, and love making deals happen. That's the hunting part! Then there's the farming part. Lots of private vehicles are listed too high to sell. But give them a couple weeks and reality starts to set in. If you're the one who's been kind, informative, and top of mind when they're ready to sell, you'll get the first opportunity. This is definitely not for someone that just wants to work 9-5. You'll have to be flexible with hours, and be willing to chase down a deal at 8pm, or 7am, or Saturday afternoon. You'll have great training
  • learning about the best selling cars, how to spot mechanical or cosmetic flaws, how to negotiate the best deal, etc.
The work is fun and very rewarding, especially if you love cars, and love negotiating and winning deals. We take an honest approach to car buying and working with the seller, but we are also aggressive, and make sure we are buying the right cars, for the right price. Depending on your goals, your talents, and abilities, this position will also give you the chance for real flexibility in life and a great income opportunity.
REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
  • 4 year College Degree
  • or currently in pursuit of a degree.
  • Automotive knowledge and a love of cars (they're probably a hobby already, and you probably do most your own mechanical work)
  • Clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Smart phone with data plan & laptop or tablet
  • Neat, professional appearance
  • Very well spoken, assertive, and great with people If you love cars, there couldn't be a more fun job out there!
