Job Description
Build the revenue engine before the doors open. Degree Wellness Saratoga Springs is looking for a proven sales leader to help build our membership base before opening, own the commercial engine after opening, and shape our sales and retention culture from day one. This is not a front-desk role, a marketing-only role, or a learn-to-sell position. You should arrive with a proven sales operating rhythm and the experience to bring ideas, structure, accountability, and strong commercial thinking to the Owner and team. This is also a non-clinical role: no nursing license is required, and you will not provide clinical services. This is an in-market, community-facing role, not a remote sales position. For the right person, this is an opportunity to build a business from the ground up and develop toward broader studio leadership over time.
THE OPPORTUNITY
You will join Degree Wellness before the studio opens and help turn local awareness into a durable member community. The primary pre-opening commercial stretch target for this role is 300 activated Founding Members at opening. Your commercial mandate spans the full member lifecycle: Acquire- > Convert
- > Activate
- > Retain
- > Expand
- > Refer.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Membership Growth & Revenue Personally prospect, sell, and create opportunities through outbound outreach, local relationship building, events, referrals, and direct follow-up rather than waiting for inbound leads. Own lead response, persistent follow-up, CRM discipline, pipeline quality, and next-step accountability, including visibility into speed-to-lead, contact activity, appointments, conversion, source performance, and pipeline aging. Conduct consultative membership conversations, tours, follow-up, and closing. Build community, corporate-wellness, employer, referral, and local-business partnerships that generate measurable pipeline. Represent Degree Wellness at community, Chamber, employer, corporate-wellness, wellness, and partner events, using grassroots outreach to create measurable lead flow. Lead Founding Member acquisition before opening and ongoing membership growth after opening. Build disciplined retention, churn-intervention, referral, upgrade, and reactivation rhythms. Maintain an external pipeline rather than becoming trapped only inside the studio. Track performance, diagnose conversion or retention gaps, and recommend corrective actions to the Owner. Use analytics, automation, and AI to improve follow-up, forecasting, coaching, and member re-engagement. Team Commercial Leadership Lead sales huddles and reinforce clear commercial expectations. Train and mentor studio employees on lead capture, referrals, member conversations, retention signals, and CRM discipline. Coordinate approved lead follow-up and commercial tasks across the team. Coach others on sales behaviors and activity accountability without initially becoming the formal people manager of the studio team. Partner closely with the Lead RN while preserving appropriate clinical boundaries.BEFORE WE OPEN
Pre-opening, you will build the Founding Member pipeline, conduct direct outreach and closing conversations, develop referral, local-business, employer, and corporate-wellness partnerships, represent the studio at local events, and drive progress toward the 300 activated-member commercial stretch target.AFTER WE OPEN
After opening, you will continue to own the commercial engine: selling, prospecting, follow-up, partnerships, retention, referrals, member engagement, and revenue growth. You will use data to identify commercial gaps, act quickly, and raise the sales capability of the broader team while modeling the service, ownership, and attention to detail expected across the studio. You will also actively support the studio experience by welcoming members and guests, providing high-touch white-glove service, answering questions, and helping turn and reset wellness rooms between appointments. This remains a primarily commercial role, but every team member is expected to help deliver an exceptional member experience and maintain a premium studio environment.WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE A
strong Founding Member base and healthy pipeline entering opening week. Consistent lead response, follow-up, CRM hygiene, pipeline visibility, and forecasting. Ongoing new-member acquisition aligned with the studio's profitability plan. Retention is treated as a co-equal priority with acquisition. A healthy external pipeline supported by partnerships, events, referrals, networking, and direct outreach. A studio team that becomes stronger at appropriate sales and retention behaviors because of your coaching. Increasing readiness to assume broader studio leadership as your capability and the business economics support it.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
This is a proven-execution hire. You should already know how to prospect, manage a pipeline, close, coach others, own a number, and raise the commercial standard of a business. Required 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in sales, membership growth, business development, account growth, or another directly revenue-accountable role. 3+ years personally carrying a quota, revenue target, membership target, or comparable commercial goal, with measurable results. Be prepared to discuss targets, attainment, conversion, and the actions you drove. 3+ years building pipeline through outbound prospecting, business development, partnerships, referrals, networking, or other proactive channels. 2+ years leading, coaching, or mentoring sellers or customer-facing employees, including activity accountability and performance feedback. Demonstrated ability to build or improve sales processes, follow-up cadences, pipeline rhythms, or commercial playbooks. Strong consultative selling, discovery, objection handling, relationship-building, and closing capability across phone, text, email, and in-person conversations. Hands-on experience using a CRM and personally managing pipeline stages, next steps, follow-up discipline, activity metrics, forecasting, and conversion data. Experience protecting recurring revenue through retention, reactivation, referrals, upgrades, or member engagement. Proven ability to operate independently, identify commercial gaps, bring recommendations, and move quickly to action. Comfort being highly visible in the community through events, networking, partnerships, and local business development. Ability and willingness to deeply learn and personally experience Degree Wellness services so you can speak credibly about the member journey while respecting clinical boundaries. Comfort in a startup-like environment where you help create the system rather than wait for one. Preferred Located in Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain, or Lehi 2+ years in a membership, subscription, recurring-revenue, retention, or customer-success model. Experience in wellness, med spa, fitness, hospitality, premium retail, healthcare consumer services, or another relationship-driven business. Success selling memberships, subscriptions, packages, or repeat-use services where retention matters. Experience opening or scaling a new location, territory, product, service line, or local market from an early stage. Experience building community, corporate, referral, or local-business partnerships that produced measurable pipeline or revenue. Experience using analytics, automation, or AI-supported sales workflows. Established professional or community relationships in or near Saratoga Springs, Lehi, Eagle Mountain, or the surrounding Utah County market.WHO THRIVES IN THIS ROLE

You should be comfortable being measured on activity and outcomes, using data and technology, partnering closely with an owner, and growing into broader leadership over time.THIS ROLE IS PROBABLY NOT FOR YOU IF
You prefer waiting for inbound leads instead of creating your own pipeline. You are uncomfortable with persistent phone, text, email, and in-person outreach. You want a marketing, customer-service, or studio-operations role more than direct sales accountability. You do not want your activity, conversion, pipeline, and results measured transparently.SCHEDULE

Pre-opening work will include local business development, community events, partner activations, and selected evening and weekend events when commercially valuable.
