Business Development Representative - State Farm Agent Team Member Position Overview Hunter Wyant State Farm is a neighborhood agency rooted in the Glen Allen, VA community. We are hiring a Business Development Representative who wants to grow a sales practice among the people they live near — neighbors, local business owners, and families whose lives we are part of every day. This is local sales with real relationships at the center. Responsibilities Follow a structured sales process from first conversation through policy placement and follow-up Log every call, quote, and follow-up in the agency system so your sales pipeline stays current Hit weekly outreach targets and monthly production goals Complete product training and the coursework needed to get licensed Book appointments and guide each prospect through the sales process to a decision You Will Do Well Here If You Want to build a professional skill you can grow with for years Like being paid for what you produce Can pick up the phone and talk with someone who was not expecting your call This Probably Is Not Your Role If You Would rather answer incoming calls than make outgoing ones Want the same routine every day with no goals to hit Qualifications Prior sales, retail, or customer-facing experience preferred — insurance training and licensing provided Self-starter who follows up without being reminded Ready to complete required state insurance licensing Takes coaching well and collaborates easily with the agency team Confident and clear on the phone, including with people you have never spoken to Benefits Base salary plus performance-based commission

Base salary varies based on experience and licensing. Commissions are uncapped, and high performers regularly exceed this range. This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not with State Farm Insurance Companies. Qualifications to be employees of a State Farm agent are established by each independent contractor agent.
