Job Description

Job Summary Are you friendly, motivated, and ready to launch a new career in Optical Sales? As an Optical Sales Trainee you will develop essential skills in opticianry, and customer service while gaining hands-on experience with eyewear fittings, spectacle lens dispensing, measurements, and retail math. Duties Assist customers in selecting eyewear frames and lenses, ensuring proper fit and style preferences are met through eyewear fittings and adjustments Support the optical team in dispensing spectacle lenses accurately using optical laboratory equipment Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, insurance policies, and health regulation compliance Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions while maintaining accuracy with retail math. Help maintain patient records in EMR/EHR systems, ensuring clinical confidentiality policies are followed diligently Assist with laboratory tasks such as frame adjustments, and quality checks to ensure high standards of optical products Assist with filing claims, notifying patients, and maintaining inventory. Experience Previous retail sales experience or familiarity with customer service environments is preferred but not required Basic knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems or POS systems will be helpful in adapting quickly to clinic workflows Experience with medical records management or clinical confidentiality policies is beneficial Demonstrated ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for retail transactions and lab measurements This role offers an energetic environment where your proactive attitude and eagerness to learn will be valued. Pay:
$48,723.85 - $58,678.18 per year
