Job Description

HighPoint CPAs is investing in a dedicated business development function to support the firm's continued growth. We're a professional services firm that has moved away from traditional compliance work toward outcomes based advisory across three areas: business accounting and advisory, tax advisory, and wealth management. As we grow, we're looking for someone to lead the charge on bringing new clients into the firm. This is an entry level role with real upward potential. If you're early in your career, comfortable picking up the phone, organized enough to keep a CRM clean, and you want to learn how a professional services firm actually grows, this could be a great fit.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
You'll own the full life of a prospect, from the first inquiry or cold outreach all the way through a signed proposal and handoff to our advisory team.
That means:
Following up on inbound inquiries and doing outbound outreach to build our pipeline Managing our CRM, keeping it current and tracking every prospect through each stage Running initial conversations with prospects to understand what they actually need (we'll train you on our discovery approach, since we care less about "selling services" and more about understanding real goals) Working alongside our advisors and firm leadership to put together proposals Helping us show up in the market via social media, newsletters, event coordination, and general visibility work Reporting on pipeline activity and results to firm leadership During your first several months, you'll work closely with members of our team on discovery calls and proposals while you learn our process. As you get more reps in, you'll take on more ownership and eventually more say in how this department is run, all while being integral to building out our sales process and marketing function from the ground up.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Some experience in a client facing, administrative, or coordination role (a couple years is plenty, this doesn't need to be sales experience) Comfortable using or learning a CRM tool You're not afraid of the phone or of a "no." You follow up. You don't let leads go cold. Strong written and verbal communication Comfortable presenting to clients and the team. You're a good listener first, and public speaking is something you gravitate toward, not away from Curious and always learning, with a genuine team player mentality Organized, self directed, and able to manage your own pipeline without someone checking in on you constantly Entrepreneurial mindset, you see the lack of an existing playbook as an opportunity, not a problem Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
NICE TO HAVE
Familiarity with financial services, accounting, or consulting Experience with Redtail or similar CRM platforms
WHY HIGHPOINT CPAS
This is a rare opportunity to shape a growing function at a firm that's intentional about how it grows. You'll have real influence over the process, the tools, and the way we approach client growth going forward. If you're the kind of person who gets energized by building something and making it your own, this is that chance. We invest in structured training and mentorship, so you'll never be figuring things out alone.
AS A PART OF OUR TEAM YOU'LL GET
Real ownership over how this function takes shape. As this role grows, you'll have direct input into the process, the tools, and how we approach client growth, this isn't a seat where you just execute someone else's script. Direct access to leadership and real client interaction from day one. You won't be sitting in the back running reports. You'll be talking to prospects, sitting in on discovery conversations, and working shoulder to shoulder with the people who run this firm. A seat at the table. HighPoint is a growing firm, and we believe in giving team members an active voice in how we serve clients, adopt technology, and build processes. Your ideas and initiative can directly shape how our BD function evolves. Meaningful growth and career development. As this role matures, so does your opportunity within it, more ownership, more scope, and a real path to running this department as it grows. We invest in training and mentorship to get you there. Work-life balance and flexibility. In office in Laramie is our preference, but we're open to the right candidate working remotely. We also offer generous PTO, wellness support, and a culture that values you as a person, not just your pipeline numbers. Competitive compensation and benefits. Base salary of $50,000 to $70,000, plus medical/dental coverage, 401(k), paid holidays, social events, and a firm that invests in your growth as much as its own. A purpose-driven, client-centric ethos. We aim to be trusted advisors, not commodity service providers. If you want to help bring the right clients into a firm that's built to actually serve them well, instead of just filling a funnel, you'll fit right in. At HighPoint CPAs, your work matters, to prospects, to the advisors you hand them off to, and to the direction of our firm's growth. If you're someone who wants to build something from the ground up, and grow right alongside it, HighPoint CPAs may be your next home.
