Job Description
Personal Lines Insurance Agency Manager If you are a high-performing Personal Lines insurance producer who knows how to lead from the front, this is a chance to step into a highly visible player-coach role: you will help combine two established local insurance teams into one larger Boca Raton office, own sales performance and retention, and continue producing as one of the office's top Personal Lines professionals. The Opportunity A growing, technology-enabled retail insurance agency serving individuals and small businesses in the Southeast is hiring a full-time Personal Lines Insurance Agency Manager in Boca Raton, Florida. This person will report to the VP of Sales and lead a key office transition as two local partner agencies move into a single operating structure. This is not a back-office management role. The right person is still commercially sharp, active in the local referral community, and credible with producers because they can model the same sales behaviors they expect from the team. You will bring management discipline, strengthen accountability, coach producers, and help build a positive, competitive sales culture during an important phase of growth. What You Will Own Personal Production & Referral Development Maintain meaningful personal new-business production and perform as one of the office's leading Personal Lines producers. Generate new business through an established referral network, including relationships such as mortgage brokers, realtors, BNI groups, and other local community partners. Build and manage an active pipeline with consistent follow-up on sales opportunities. Cross-sell existing clients and identify opportunities to increase policies per customer. Model strong sales activity, follow-through, referral development, and accountability for the rest of the team. Team Leadership & Sales Performance Lead the transition of two local agency teams into one larger, more consistent office environment. Manage, coach, and develop a sales team through performance expectations, activity standards, and practical day-to-day sales support. Coach producers on prospecting, quoting, closing, cross-selling, referral development, and follow-up. Monitor sales activity and results, including new-business premium, policies written, quotes, outbound activity, close ratios, and policies per customer. Identify performance issues early, create clear improvement plans, and coordinate with Sales Leadership and HR when formal performance management is needed. Reinforce attendance, reliability, workplace expectations, and a culture of accountability. Participate in weekly performance reviews and monthly business reviews, making sure team members understand their individual goals and the office's broader targets. Retention, Operations & Office Integration Monitor retention, renewal activity, pending cancellations, and cross-sell opportunities. Help identify trends affecting agency growth, client retention, and profitability. Ensure established agency workflows and processes are followed across the team. Oversee effective use of virtual assistants and support resources. Work closely with Sales Leadership, Operations, Finance, and HR to resolve issues and maintain accountability. Help integrate two offices into a consistent operating structure and bring practical workflow or process recommendations to leadership. Delegate effectively rather than becoming the bottleneck for work the team should own. What Makes You a Strong Fit Proven success as a high-performing Personal Lines insurance producer with a consistent track record of generating new business. Active Florida 2-20 insurance license. Experience managing, coaching, or developing insurance sales professionals. A current network of referral partners and a willingness to actively participate in local networking groups such as BNI. Strong knowledge of Florida Personal Lines insurance carriers, markets, and sales dynamics. Ability to balance personal production with hands-on team leadership. Comfort using comparative raters, carrier portals, agency management systems, and performance reporting. Strong organization, communication, follow-through, and accountability habits. Practical experience setting expectations, inspecting activity, coaching performance, and addressing underperformance when needed. Nice-to-Haves Commercial Lines fluency or enough familiarity to understand the commercial sales cycle and support commercial producers from a management perspective. Experience leading a team through change, office integration, acquisition integration, or a new operating structure. Prior responsibility for office-level production, retention, renewal activity, or sales performance reviews. Compensation The expected total compensation range is
