Licensed Insurance Producer - New Tampa Location (Florida 2-20 Required) Gelpi Insurance is seeking an experienced, hands-on Insurance Agency Manager to open, lead, and grow our new agency location in Tampa, Florida. This is not simply an office management position. We are looking for a licensed insurance professional who understands how to run an insurance agency, produce business, lead agents, manage a pipeline, maintain carrier and underwriting standards, and take responsibility for the location's overall performance. The ideal candidate is both a leader and a producer—someone capable of building a successful agency from the ground up while developing a strong team and book of business in the Tampa market. Gelpi Insurance is an established independent insurance agency with offices in Kendall, Miami Lakes, Doral, Palmetto Bay and Medley as well as a growing franchise network across Florida. What We Provide Competitive base salary plus commission and performance bonuses Leads and marketing support to help develop the Tampa market Access to multiple carriers across auto, home, commercial, and health insurance Agency management systems, quoting platforms, and operational support Dedicated back-office assistance for service, billing, endorsements, and paperwork Direct support and coaching from agency ownership Opportunity to lead and develop a new Gelpi Insurance location Health insurance and paid time off Key Responsibilities Assist with the opening and launch of the new Tampa agency Manage the agency's daily sales, service, and operational activities Produce new business and maintain personal production goals Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate licensed producers and office staff Establish monthly goals and hold the team accountable for results Monitor leads, open quotes, follow-ups, sales activity, and retention Review production reports and provide regular updates to agency ownership Ensure clients receive excellent service and timely follow-up Develop referral relationships and increase Gelpi Insurance's presence in the Tampa community Ensure the office follows company procedures, carrier guidelines, and Florida insurance regulations Cross-sell auto, home, commercial, and health insurance opportunities Take full ownership of the agency's growth and performance Who We Want Active Florida 2-20 Insurance License — required Fully bilingual in English and Spanish — required Minimum 2 years of insurance sales experience — required Previous agency management, team leadership, or supervisory experience — strongly preferred Strong knowledge of Personal Lines insurance, including auto and homeowners Commercial Lines experience is preferred Proven ability to quote, follow up, close, and retain insurance business Experience training and holding producers accountable Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Comfortable working directly with clients, carriers, and underwriting departments Self-managed, dependable, competitive, and results-driven Available to work in person at the Tampa office This Position Is for an Agency Builder We are not looking for someone who only wants to supervise employees or handle administrative work.
