Job Summary:
The Management Trainee (MIT) position at RNR Tire Express is designed for individuals looking to grow into a leadership role (3-6 month path to General Manager with profit participation). You'll be responsible for driving sales, leading a high-performing team, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities :
Customer Interaction & Sales Welcome and assist customers, offering personalized advice on tire and wheel selections. Educate customers on product offerings, payment options, warranties, and referral programs. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of inventory, tire fitments, types, and market trends. Prepare quotes, review pricing, and finalize sales agreements. Proactively reach out to both new and existing customers through outbound calls to drive business. Account Management & Customer Retention Manage a portfolio of customer accounts to ensure rental agreements remain current and active. Contact customers with expired or past-due agreements and guide them through the renewal process. Educate customers on their payment options and assist them in maintaining good account standing. Identify opportunities to recapture past-due accounts and retain customers whenever possible. Utilize customer references and communication tools to re-establish contact with delinquent customers when necessary. Maintain a professional and service-oriented approach when handling sensitive account matters. Support the processing of payments including cash, credit/debit card, money order, and other payment methods . Team Leadership & Development Lead daily operations to ensure team members meet sales goals and maintain high customer service standards. Provide ongoing training and development to team members, ensuring alignment with company culture and service expectations. Establish performance targets and track individual and team progress toward achieving them. Foster a supportive, family-oriented environment where teamwork and personal growth are emphasized. Sales & Inventory Management Develop strategies to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets. Assist in managing inventory to ensure the showroom is well-stocked, organized, and properly tagged. Ensure products are attractively displayed to enhance customer interest and sales. Support warranty claims processing and assist with customer transactions as needed. Administrative & Reporting Duties Maintain accurate records of sales, customer interactions, and employee performance. Prepare regular reports for management, summarizing sales, customer feedback, and team progress. Handle administrative tasks associated with sales agreements, payment options, contracts, and customer follow-ups.
Qualifications :
Experience & Skills Previous managment experience is a plus experience in customer service, sales, or account management preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to motivate and lead a team effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic math skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of tire and wheel products is a plus, but not required. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college or relevant industry certifications are a plus. Certifications & Licenses Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Work Environment & Physical Demands :
Prolonged periods of standing and walking, along with working on a computer. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Work is primarily conducted in a retail setting with a temperature-controlled environment and moderate noise levels.
