Job Description

Bob Swope Ford is looking for an experienced Used Car Manager to own our used vehicle inventory and appraisal process. This role also cross-trains as a backup to our F&I Manager and Desk Manager, and plays a key part in training and developing our sales team — a great fit for someone who wants hands-on leadership experience across multiple areas of the dealership.

Responsibilities:
Manage used vehicle inventory: sourcing, pricing, aging, reconditioning, and turn. Appraise trade-in vehicles accurately and competitively. Step in as backup F&I Manager — presenting finance and protection products and structuring deals when needed. Step in as backup Desk Manager — structuring and approving deals on the sales floor when needed. Train, coach, and develop salespeople on product knowledge, the sales process, and closing skills. Help maintain compliance with dealership and manufacturer policies on pricing, documentation, and deal accuracy. Track market and auction trends to guide acquisition and pricing decisions.
Qualifications:
Experience in used vehicle management, appraisals, or dealership sales management preferred. Familiarity with F&I processes and desk/sales management is a strong plus. Familiarity with a DMS system a plus. • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills. Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
