  • Full-time Overview Join a dynamic and rapidly growing community solar organization as a Sales Team Leader, where you will spearhead our outside sales efforts and lead a passionate team dedicated to expanding access to clean, renewable energy.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the future of energy consumption while developing your leadership skills in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. As a pivotal member of our team, you will drive customer engagement through innovative marketing strategies, direct door-to-door outreach, and personalized technical sales consultations. Your leadership will empower your team to succeed in building strong customer relationships and closing solar energy deals that make a real difference for communities and the planet. Duties Lead, motivate, and train a high-performing sales team focused on community solar projects through outside sales channels. Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting residential and commercial customers via door-to-door outreach and other direct marketing methods. Oversee the use of CRM software such as Salesforce to track leads, manage customer interactions, and analyze sales performance metrics. Conduct engaging presentations and negotiations with prospective clients, clearly explaining the benefits of solar energy solutions tailored to their needs. Collaborate with marketing teams to implement targeted campaigns that generate quality leads and increase brand awareness in local communities. Maintain comprehensive records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress using CRM tools. Foster strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional customer service throughout the entire sales process, ensuring satisfaction and long-term loyalty. Skills Proven experience in outside sales, especially in energy or solar sales environments. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse sales team toward achieving targets. Excellent negotiation and communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued for reaching broader audiences. Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce or other CRM platforms to manage customer data effectively. Knowledge of technical aspects of solar energy systems and energy savings benefits to confidently address customer questions. Experience in door-to-door sales or direct marketing strategies that drive engagement and conversions. Ability to coordinate marketing efforts with sales initiatives to maximize outreach impact while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
