Job Description

Position Overview:
As a Farmstand/Greenhouse Clerk, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized farmstand and greenhouse, handling sales transactions, and ensuring that all produce and products are displayed attractively.
Responsibilities:
Greeting customers in a friendly and welcoming manner Engaging and assisting with customers and providing information about farm produce, products, and farming practices Operating a cash register or point of sale (POS) system to handle cash, credit, and debit transactions Ensuring accurate handling of money and making correct change Processing sales efficiently and issuing receipts Arranging produce and products in an attractive/organized manner Monitoring inventory levels and restocking shelves as needed Keeping track of my stock levels and reporting any shortages to the Farmstand Manager Assisting in receiving deliveries and inspecting goods for quality Keeping the farmstand clean, organized, and presentable - including but not limited to sweeping floors, wiping down surfaces, and keeping the area tidy Assisting in setting up promotional displays and signage Informing customers about special offers, events, and new products Assisting with the setup, operation, and closing of the farmstand Participating in farm tours Flexibility to work various or additional shifts, as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Schedule:
Farmstand - Open availability 8 AM-6 PM (40 hours, days TBD based on business needs)
Rate:
$16.94/hour
Experience/Requirements:
16 years or older
Preferred:
Previous farmstand, retail, customer service, or POS experience
Skills:
Safety Culture:
Maintain and drive safety policies to all associates; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout the shift Physical abilities: May be required to lift to 50-65lbs.; standing, bending, lifting, and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights, including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature environments; Strong communication
Skills:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders daily
Organizational Skills:
Ability to fulfill customer orders promptly; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Working in a team-based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders promptly and with the highest quality
Quality:
Maintain integrity and high standards of product handling from all perspectives
