$24.00 to $26.00/hour About Red Wagon Pumpkins Red Wagon Pumpkins is Connecticut's premier pumpkin design and delivery service, creating professionally designed fall displays for homes, businesses, weddings, and events throughout Connecticut and surrounding areas. We're looking for a reliable, energetic, and detail-oriented Seasonal Produce Washer & Van Loading Assistant to join our team during our busy fall season. This is a hands-on position working primarily at our warehouse to prepare pumpkins and other seasonal produce for delivery and carefully load customer orders into our cargo van. Responsibilities Wash and clean pumpkins, gourds, and other seasonal produce Inspect produce for dirt, soft spots, punctures, damage, or other quality issues Carefully handle and organize pumpkins and other products to prevent damage Sort and organize produce according to customer orders and display packages Prepare customer orders for upcoming deliveries Load pumpkins, mums, hay bales, and seasonal décor into the company cargo van Load the van in an organized manner to protect products and maximize available space Clean and organize the company cargo van in preparation for deliveries Assist with unloading and reorganizing inventory as needed Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and work area Assist with inventory organization and general seasonal warehouse tasks Work closely with the operations and design team to ensure orders are prepared accurately and on schedule Assist with other seasonal operations as needed What We're Looking For Reliable, dependable, and punctual Strong attention to detail and pride in doing quality work Comfortable performing repetitive, hands-on physical work Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds Comfortable standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working for extended periods Able to carefully handle pumpkins and other produce without damaging them Able to follow instructions and work efficiently with limited supervision Organized and able to keep track of multiple customer orders Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed Comfortable working in a warehouse environment that may be cool, damp, or dirty at times Reliable transportation to and from our warehouse/work location Primary availability for afternoon, evening and night shifts during September and October, including additional hours during peak weeks No previous warehouse or produce-handling experience is required. We'll provide training on our produce-washing, quality-control, order-preparation, and van-loading procedures.
