Duties Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to handle retail sales transactions and cash handling with integrity. Deliver excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and guiding them through product selections. Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, enhancing the shopping experience and encouraging upselling opportunities. Stock shelves efficiently by receiving shipments, organizing merchandise, and maintaining attractive displays through merchandising techniques. Assist customers with retail store product knowledge to help them make informed purchasing decisions. Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and stockroom, ensuring products are properly labeled and stocked according to store standards. Handle cash drawer operations responsibly, including balancing registers at shift end and managing cash handling procedures in compliance with store policies. Skills Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both English and bilingual settings. Experience with POS systems, cashiering, retail sales transactions, and basic math for accurate cash register operations. Proven supervising experience or the ability to oversee stock levels and assist in training new team members. Ability to perform product demos confidently while promoting upselling techniques to maximize sales. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising strategies, and grocery store operations is highly desirable. Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone. Prior experience in stocking, retail sales, or grocery environments is preferred for a seamless transition into this energetic role.
